Elias (Djokovic) vs. San99 (Tsonga) 6-2 6-0

Well, not much to say, I'm in pretty good form, and San is not in good form these days, cause he lacks some training matches, this explains the result. I returned very well in this match, he didn't returned that good and he made more positionning errors than usual. MSN is not the right place to find friendlies mate, so head up to the TE chat you'll often find sparring partners there :!: :)

Wish you good luck @ Cincinnati ;)

Elias (Djokovic) vs Eliomelma (Federer) 6-3 6-3

Good match, wich was pretty much a one side domination this time. I guess it's the result of two factors, on my side i improved my baseline consistency this last weeks and i'm also using cross accelerations much more consistently than before; and on his side Elio doesn't have much training time in this period as he is on vacations i think, not even sure Elio is playing from his home at this time and i know it's always more cumfortbale to play from his own computer and hardware. I guess i will have to play from some low end computer if i'm leaving for some vacations so i may get worst results because of this (maybe during us open damn :s)

good match Elio, wish you gl @ Cincinnati & US Open.

TWM-Fox (Federer) def. Elias (Djokovic) 6-2 3-6 7-5 4-6 6-3 (1h15)

Congrats Fox for the Gold. This was an exhausting match

In the first set, Fox was dominating, getting 2 breaks pretty quickly, i broke back one time but then he broke me again and closed the set 6-2. By this time i really thought i would lose in 3 sets.

Though i started to play better in the second set, and maybe also Fox played a bit less forward than in the first set, so i had more time to adjust my game and i got in control of the game i think most of the time, this second set i think finished with something like 18 winners on my side to 6 or 7 on Fox side.

The third set was a nice thriller, @ 3-3 i had two break points on his serve but couldn't convert any, the we get to 4-4, and if i remember well it was his turn then to have some break points, wich he couldn't convert either. Finally he could lead 6-5, and then i was again in trouble on my serve, and i finally lost the set, on a double

This double was in some way foretelling the trouble i will have with my serve in the next sets wich leaded to my fall in the last set.

I have some memory flaws about the 4th set but obviously i still could hold a good level and even the game to 2-2 sets. But i had more and more trouble with Djokovic first serve and i had lots of pressure on my second serve so i had to take risks often with b1 second serves (wich hopefully were often in), but this also explains the doubles, and sometimes in very bad moments ! This got me so much on my nerves i wanted to scream a flow of %!* words in front of my LCD screen, and this concentration flaw leaded, along with some *real* fatigue (damn my vision sometimes started to become a bit blurry following the yellow ball :p ) leaded to more errors on my side, and Fox still could maintain a very good level and take the control of this last set.

I'm still pretty happy having played this long thriller and no dissapointed to lose it that way, it was great fun to play ! :D

My nerves though really broke because of Djokovic %£#@#~$ serve, especially iin the end. Not sure i'll re-use him tomorow yet

Congrats again & see you in Us open ;)

Congrats Elias and Fox, epic match you had there! At least I lost to the eventual Gold medal winner, who deserves this win. :)

First of all congrats to Elias for his way in this tournament, i think once again he proved that he deserve his actual place of top player.

Big challenge for me, i lost my two last tournaments to Elias, and i think he was more confident than me. Indeed, i was ready to fight and get that win.

I think i've kind showed it in the first set. Been very aggressive on returns, trying to be the first to hit the most. Indeed, even winning the first set 6-2, i wasn't happy with my first serve which i think wen't up to 54%

I've paid this weakness in the second set. By the way, Elias was more aggressive and hit a lot of passing shot where my net approach wasn't efficient at all. He adjusted his game and won the second set 6-3

Third set was pretty tricky, both of us since beginning could not have a good % of 1st serve and we had to managed on second serve. Elias took a lot of risk on his second serve wich help him to keep it tied. But he paid the price by loosing important points, and i think this was the greatest news i could have, cause i was starting getting on my nerves seeing the luck on his side with lot of net balls, line balls and so on.

Immediately, Elias answer just like in the second set, but my first serve was coming back and i felt more confident. But to late break was done early and i could not catch up.

I played my last card in the last set having a lot of confidence with my first serve, i think i went up to 80% which has nothing to do with what i hit previously. I tried to tied the game on his serve has he could not improve his first serve. I managed to get the break and kept this advantage for the win. That was the only moment i was sure of my game.

Other than that i think Elias was the best during rallies hitting amazing cross shot which i sometimes didn't even tried to catch. I think this match is all about mental, the first who could not bare the pressure.

Glad to have leaded Elias to 5 set, i could not dream of better final and better ending for me. Final i broke my Elias curse ! Just like Murray i had my second chance in Wimbly and get the gold ^^

Very happy with my tournament where i didn't have an easy draw from beginning itself

See you soon in US Open Champ

Congratulations to the two, and especially to the new Olympic champion ;)
That should have been a big fight ! The Wimbledon 0-6 x3 of Elias against Kyuji seems to be completely past :p

I guess eliomelma by walkover? At least Ugadalou gave his opponents walkovers this week due to connection problems (correct me if I'm wrong).

Well pretty sad such a great performance ended like that. I tried to extend our semi final to the maximum but at the end he decided to withdraw. Sad he could not defend his place

Very unfortunate I couldn't play my matches this week,I especially wanted to fight for a medal in the Olympics..

We tried to play our match with elio-it didn't work as my connection was unstable.

So I told Elio to receive a walkover win because it was my fault we couldn't play but he is such a kind and fair sportsman that he insisted he would not take it by walkover.

Maybe djarvik overlooked it while distributing the points because he gave us both 4th place points,I asked him to give elio bronze but elio didn't accept it.
What a guy this italian is!

Anyway, for the records, Bronze medalist is Eliomelma.

In sportsmanship and community spirit he is Gold medalist for sure though! :D
