I think power servers really become most dangerous when they mix up their pace because a "too late" return has a too late result regardless of the speed of the serve.

i knew it, actually every single shot in the game can be use, all of them are "fair", but like Iluv said I just don't think they should be overused like anything else along those lines
The point is, as always, that when you only care about winning, no matter what, you don't notice all these things, you don't even realize that you're playing in a cheesy way, those guys are like in drugs, are high. So i forgive them![]()

I think about a very effective and easy solution against the cheese.
I think after every point.
every player should wrote on a paper how many :
-slices
-flat
-top spin
-drop shot
he does on the point.
At the end of the match if :
the rapport of
number of Slices used / number of flat used is the same as
number of drop shot used /number of top spin used.
The game is ok.
Other case, the game is cheesy you should replay a hyper tie-break (20 points) with Eugenie Bouchard against your opponent with using A only and song Baby from Justin bieber on the headset.

I like Alex, that's for sure!
Well, that's what I do usually - I control shot my way into the rally until I get a chance to attack from the baseline or until I can hit a good approach shot. It's not that I lose to these power players with Bickham (I actually find it a lot easier to play against them than with say Rabari).
With the short slice return this works well, but I haven't tried hitting midcourt top spin returns - I will try these the next time I play against such a setup on World Tour or even better on ITST.
The one-two punch is the bread and butter of a power player with high SRV stats, that's for sure and no problem about it.
Return patterns is something I'm aware of, but sometimes I fall into some.

If any of you want to challenge me to a match with the pro players and try slice returning 'every serve', go ahead. I will frickin destroy you.
