Ok, I just wanted to let all you guys know about Microsoft's marketing genius (or lies) because I see a lot of people who said they were going with the 360 version "if it supported 1080p". In fact, neither system can handle the graphical quality modern games are putting out at 1080p, it's just too many pixels for these old systems (they don't even have a gig of ram, my system from circa 2000 has 1gb.)
99.9% of xbox games that state they run in 1080p DO NOT ACTUALLY RUN IN 1080p. Microsoft can get away with this somehow because the 360 has a built in upconverter that converts any image to 1080p. Of course, on a LCD TV with fixed pixels, you aren't seeing any image unless it's upconverted to your set, so MS claim is BS.
It's like saying that a DVD is 1080p compatible because the DVD player can convert the movie to your TV, maybe so, but it doesn't look like a TRUE 1080p blu-ray.
PS3s up conversion works a little different and as such, their boxes tend to be more honest, though not always.
Point is, don't make your decision based on that, because MS knows how important it is to you and is putting it on their box so you will buy their version even though they are both going to be ~720p as they always are.
With that said has anyone played both versions? Is there a version that is supposed to be better? Load times, gameplay, graphics?
PS3 was clearly the lead for Top Spin 3 as it got Nadal, the games seem more even this time around, but since I have both consoles I need to know which version to get before I go to the store today.
If anyone has any insight at all it would be great, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks
P.S. I have a degree in Management Information Systems, not trying to brag, but if I don't put my qualifications, people probably will be more likely to ignore this information because I could just be a random person on the internet who doesn't know what he's talking about. That's simply not true, I am a random person on the internet who does know what he is talking about.
