Next question: How long will it take Anil to buy a PS3? My guess: Less than 24 hours. :P

like you said, you are new to the tour, Practice makes perfect. Slice wide serve is the easiest for me to return, I will punish anyone who is even thinking of doing it 2 3 times in a raw!

.... I dare anyone!

... and that is with return at 50.

4 red attributes, I have explained in other posts, here it is again, my example:

forehand/power/speed all red, return 50, stamina 40, severe 80, backhand 80, volley 40.

I can return just fine with 50, no need for more points, I can finish at the net just fine with 40, again, no need for more points, stamina unfortunately is far less useful then speed, I make up for low stamina with speed.

So what am I to do with the rest of the points?

well... to be honest, you´re not the measure of all things
if YOU can do all these things with 50 XP, well fine, congrats to you
but that´s not the reason for having 4 Attributes on 90, hmm?

Yes it is!

I started with 80 on returns and 60 stamina and 50 volley.

As I was getting better, I realized what numbers will work the best for me.

I lowered my return from 80 to 70, then 60, then 50.

Same with stamina.

Volley, I realized I almost never go there, only to finish and for that 40 is plenty.

I am not trying to be THE standard, I am just saying that calling these setups "cheesy" is not right. Unrealistic? Yes, Correct.

I recommend doing something similar.

I have 90 in speed because my movement is not great. Same with strokes.

Use higher skill on your weak points, this way you will have the most balanced player to YOUR style of play.

you return without risk? BECAUSE i think with 50 on return, you cant return well without risk, about a clever mixed 90 server

What you are describing is a "bad match up" and this is what makes this game great! You take low return against best server. It doesn't happen often and it SHOULD be like that. It is all about match ups.

I return about 60% with risk. Only LT. Never RT. I never use RT in the game, only on serves. Not in the rally or returns.

Here is how I do it, I try and return with no risk, if I see I am guessing wrong, I will quickly press the LT. If I guessed right I don't need to press LT.

Sometimes, if my opponent reads that, I will switch it around, and add Long LTs on the serves If I guessed right, and dump in the mid court floater for the serves I guess wrong. It works wonders with someone who constantly risks.

in my eyes the lt return is also a risk . than i believe that you return well with 50 xp
i thought you return without lt rt - my mistake

You are right, without LT it will be impossible to string 2-3 points on return games against a well mixed serve to get a break.

...but, returning constantly with LT also doesn't work and can end your returns games very quickly against good servers.

...it really depends on the opponent, you really need to "read" the serve well, if you "read" it well, LT is a bonus, if not, LT is a necessity - which may get you a couple of points, but not enough to get a break.

Good returners in this game, like Tansupalavik for example, use all the returns, both risk and no risk, and they just "Make" you serve to them, they read your serve so well that it is scary.

I remember playing Tansupalavik, and at one point just pressing the button on every serve, let is slowly get there  because he would guess EVERY serve of mine! Out of this world!

absolutly confirm with you.to return , 4 in a row only with rt lt risk or lt risk return ,is very difficult about a mixing serve. the key is to read the serve.and to mix the return .but to read this, is a little tricky and needs a lot of time and practice.

hey tansupalavik let us play a match soon, maybe i can learn some

You can also find a thread with him defending his use of short risk slice. :P

Make it almost 2 years

My love with short slice ended, it was a short affair. So anybody who now defend the short risk slice, make me laugh. .....cause I simply was just the same, I just had enough in me to actually realize how lame it was. All in all - it took about 2-3 weeks and I was off the horrible drug- the short risk slice.

As for stats. I started with SIM setup playing WT. I then joined ITST....... ta da da dam!

Only while being on receiving end of brutal loses from ITST members who used 4x90 i had to switch to compete. Funny, I was winning tons of matches on WT against people with 100s stats, was in top 10 while using a sim setup on WT for a good amount of time....So it was not the WT that drove me to stacked, it was the ITST. I blame Slicer, Rob and Cro for all of it.

I then started to experiment and lower stats and ended up with what I play now on PS3. As for Xbox, I have constantly switched serve motions, stroke motions, height, weight, stats, etc... That is likely the cause of me not having a title yet (except a few challengers).

Since we digging stuff up  Let me see what I can dig out!! aghrrr
