.... I dare anyone!
... and that is with return at 50.
4 red attributes, I have explained in other posts, here it is again, my example:
forehand/power/speed all red, return 50, stamina 40, severe 80, backhand 80, volley 40.
I can return just fine with 50, no need for more points, I can finish at the net just fine with 40, again, no need for more points, stamina unfortunately is far less useful then speed, I make up for low stamina with speed.
So what am I to do with the rest of the points?

I started with 80 on returns and 60 stamina and 50 volley.
As I was getting better, I realized what numbers will work the best for me.
I lowered my return from 80 to 70, then 60, then 50.

I return about 60% with risk. Only LT. Never RT. I never use RT in the game, only on serves. Not in the rally or returns.
Here is how I do it, I try and return with no risk, if I see I am guessing wrong, I will quickly press the LT. If I guessed right I don't need to press LT.
Sometimes, if my opponent reads that, I will switch it around, and add Long LTs on the serves If I guessed right, and dump in the mid court floater for the serves I guess wrong. It works wonders with someone who constantly risks.
djarvik wrote:You are right, without LT it will be impossible to string 2-3 points on return games against a well mixed serve to get a break.
...but, returning constantly with LT also doesn't work and can end your returns games very quickly against good servers.
...it really depends on the opponent, you really need to "read" the serve well, if you "read" it well, LT is a bonus, if not, LT is a necessity - which may get you a couple of points, but not enough to get a break.
Good returners in this game, like Tansupalavik for example, use all the returns, both risk and no risk, and they just "Make" you serve to them, they read your serve so well that it is scary.
I remember playing Tansupalavik, and at one point just pressing the button on every serve, let is slowly get therebecause he would guess EVERY serve of mine! Out of this world!
