By the way, meanwhile Germany's first :P

I don't know why there needs to be Skeleton, Luge and Bobsleigh. All are pretty similar. So why not only make one or two of them olympic?
There are by far more interesting sports than them.

For example I'm kinda a fan of Ski cross. But I have not seen it in the TV yet, although it is by far more interesting. :?

I think they are all great McFed. I mean luge and skeleton feature independence, as you know. They also give the athletes the option of body position on the sled, head to toe vs. toe to head.

Bobsleigh allows team work, and I think it is a bit safe than the other two options. I rather be in a "truck" more than a "go-kart" hitting speeds of 50-90 m.p.h. down a quite narrow ice semi-tunnel! LOL.

That is my opinion. Like you, I think it is a shame that the media show WHAT THEY THINK is important in the olympics. If I had it my way, I would show all, including when the "special" olympics occur.

I use "special," because I do not like calling them this (or, disabled, handi-capped for that matter). They view themselves just like us, NORMAL. So, I like what one of my students said, "they are differently ABLED." :tu

The American media captured the stories of Americans on the white stuff . .

Media-entrenched female skier, along with her alleged leg injury, takes gold. Her counter-part takes silver.

Nothing is different for the "flying tomato" . . . yes . . . you know who this American guy is. His first qualification run put him into the final. During his first run in the final, he already captures gold and features the double McTwist 1260 in the second run to then improve his gold-medal first run!!

Only one man is able to win two back-to-back gold medals in the 1500-meter speed skating event. An American male takes this prominent spot today. He is also known for befriending a South Korean, giving him tips to win his first gold for his nation in the 500-meter speed skating event.

American well-decorated short speed-skater, and 6-time olympic medalist , devues in many qualification runs. In one of them, he features in a 5000-meter relay race. United States and South Korea qualify to the next round easily. A fall from one nation takes out Team France. However, judges over-ruled this result to advance France into the semi-finals.

MEDAL COUNT:

United States takes back the lead (with 3 gold medal wins yesterday . . . the first time in olympic history) and is now at 12 over-all medals, Germany 9, France and Canada to follow.

That will do for this edition of Qlympics. Please stay tuned for the next latest updates!

Why don't you write the athlete's names Q?...
I guess the female-skier you're talking about must be Lindsey Vonn...And no,me i don't know who the "flying tomato" is...Without names,your "Qlympics" are...well,i don't know...Just un-interesting...
Bryan Joubert is a chicken,he thinks he's at the top and that he just has to be on the ice to win...Typical from a lot of French athletes... :? Go Plu-Plu!(Plushenko)
Shaun White has no olympic challengers : They don't care about competitions, they're all doin freestyle all around the globe...
Lindsey Vonn is a godess! To me,Bode Miller (men) and her are the best world Alpine-skier nowadays...
France lost in curling... :P
Hockey : Canada-Swedish : 13-1

I did not reword it. This came from me. It is not the best, but I tried. Of course, I got the ideas of writing from listening to NBC CHANNEL 4. Yet, the words are mine (from the top of my head).

@Amazing Matheja,

That was the medal count around your early morning time, my late night. Please bear in-mind that I am 6 hours behind you!! I cannot stay-up to see which team won a medal every second.

I am not Omega, the proud sponsor of the Winter Olympics! They are the best time-keepers of sports! :P

Yea. You are questioning a well-known medal count that was posted by NBC itself.

Put two-and-two together . . .

When a news writer publishes the article for an on-going event, it is more and likely going to be obsolete quickly. So, when I posted my Qlympics summary of what I saw, it was already aging. LOL.

Events were still going, but I had to sleep, as it was already 1:00 a.m. my time. LOL.

So, for the most part, you are showing that the United States picked-up more medals. Thanks for updating me on that, as I would have found this out tonight (or now . . . if I turned on the TV).

Thanks pal. :tu Oh, with the no-names used comments, I chose to write this way. I think it shows less favortism and encourage people to watch it more. You know, "I wonder who the 'flying-tomato' guy is."

Thus, we can talk about the events more and more. It is just a perspective that a writer can chose. Surely, this is my opinion, and it is not gold.

Lastly, it seems like you are going by a medal count that has some point value assigned to the medal or some sort? I only go by the total amount of medals (no point value assigned).

I am trying man, but I get a bit discouraged after seeing comments like above (not all of them). I will do it for you, even if it is not much appreciated.

Thanks man. You raised my eagerness to continue. Tonight will be big!!! I am pay special attention on the battle of the men's single free skate!! I think Japan or United States can take it. Also, I may be wrong, but I think Plushenko will fall.

No. I would never wish that on my worst enemy (and you are not my worst enemy; neither do I view you as an enemy).

Also, there is no such thing of a fiery hell mentioned of in the Bible. This is solely philosophical and connected with paganistic practices. That is a whole other topic, and I will leave it at that (this thread is for Vancouver).

Lastly, there is no special thing about my writing summary. It is just coming from NBC, but I am summarizing the visuals in my own words. I am sure the likes of Cro can do a much better job than I can!
