True, but so are many of the missiles that I've hit in TS3. I don't see anybody consistently hitting every groundstroke in a rally over 100 mph. But it's definitely possible in TS3.
And why do you care that people choose to hit LT+X volleys instead of drop shot (right stick) volleys??? Is the most difficult shot the only 'true' or 'acceptable' shot??? Isn't the best shot the one that gets the job done with the least effort/risk????
TBH I can see where Equities got really frustrated with some of you guys. There's some bizarre 'code of honor' at work here where everybody is under pressure to hit the most difficult shots, play with the worst character, play in a certain way, etc, and certain people are made to feel bad because they don't play in some way that satisfies the sensibilities of others.
I absolutely agree with Jayl0ve here.
Furthermore I do not see the issue with risk slice every now and then to be honest. I use it in matches at times, mostly defensive when I am running across court to try and defend the ball back, either cross court or down the line, and either x+LT, or x+RT+Lt or X+Rt or just x!!
Also like Picachu said, if i get a use risk shot hit at me i may choose to slow the pace down by hitting a risk slice. It makes up only about 5% of my game so i don't abuse it because there are plenty of other shots out there on the market!
Now i am remember playing a guy called 'Realloddy' when i first starting playing on ITST and this guy played risk slice pretty much every single shot. It was annoying and very weird tennis (all credit to him he doesnt play that way anymore as much). Now that to me was CHEESY. But to play the occasional risk slice, is, as i said to Anil a while ago, JUST ANOTHER CHOICE OF SHOT.
Now I played Noberto H before in SIM and won 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 and this guy risks flat every single point. It takes alot of skill but it is darn hard to deal with and the points are always short and I continously find myself defending every point and try and force him into error.
However, that is his game, and he is a great player, and he, like me, hits the odd risk slice to defend or mix it up but i certainly ain't writing every time he hits a risk slice down in my little note book whilst i am playing and then say it cheesy and then QUIT!! Quitting is for loosers, I have never quit a match on someone, got too much respect and maturity for that.
The rules in ITST define what is cheesy play (serving wide & inside the baseline) and so i reckon people need to just leave the shot alone.
Its only a very few select number of people who don't like this (and therefore i see don't play the shot - fair enough) but there are loads who don't mention it and play the shot and don't bat an eyelid.
I don't mind if the Poll comes out with more in favour of cheesy than not because most of the people who live in these forums probably think its cheesy, but the ones that dont post, of which there are many, will not have a supporting vote
