I did not risk slice every point, i admit i did slice 50 percent of the returns, but i also did go for it, everything i did was within the rules , I actually really enjoyed the first set, I felt tho i had the slight edge during the baseline rallies tho, I also feel the stamina addition did help my player to keep hitting well

I've been s&v'ing a lot with Lopez. Just mix it up well and you're fine.

Do it when your opponent is predictably returning to your weak side, and with serves that make it easy to cover that side. Try to give them two choices: return to your strong side, or try to find your weak side and let you put away the easy volley.

Or, if they're making you hit a lot of volleys from your shoe-strings, stay back. If they're keeping the returns deep, come in for the high volley.

yeah i was SV'ing maybe 10%, as opposed to about 30% usually with lopez (or fed). but with his bashmakov he was coping really well with the low groundstrokes and just battering the returns. i hit a couple of SV's from practicaly the baseline  lol.
i had more success coming in after the first groundstroke. but by the middle of the 2nd i was being passed with relative ease and so decided to try and dog it.

The match I think was mainly decided on my First serve % which was 89 to his 80 and he made 12 unforced errors to my 5. He had quite a few chances to break he was up 0-40 while I was serving 4-3 up. But I was able to hit some good fast serves and that really made a difference in the end.

Congrats .very good win:)
please report which player kiensabeq used

petrelli83(BUCCI)-darkpaladin87(LOPEZ):6-4 6-4

good match...at the beginning I was a little bit nervous for the first official match with new sim.
likely I broke him soon on 1-1 and I held my serve without give him breakpoints untill 6-4.
2nd set was very fighted.I broke him on 3-3.It was a tough game.he saved 3bp from 0-40.then we played many points before I broke him.
he had some bp during the set but he didn't convert.

tough match.very tactical...my strategy was to return on his bh(64),to play the rally on his bh and finish on his fh side.
this match, like the other I played, show me how important strategy is for new sim...
thx darkpaladin87 for the fun match

Thanks Petrelli83, i enjoyed the game too.

You countered my usual strategy well. I always go to the net after a good serve, but i had trouble with your return shots. To give an example the high topspin one. You used that one often, it did go wrong multiple times but it payed off in the long run  .

One of my servicegames lasted about 10 minutes, that was really gruesome man.

GL in the next round bud.

Just beat FedFan 6-7 6-4 7-6! I was Cannon he was Lorenz.

Best match I've ever played in my life!! Almost choked in the end there I was 6-4 up in the tiebreak on my serve and I lost the point, I was lucky to recover from that.

    Cannon Lorenz

    First Serve % 86 87
    Win % on 1st Serve 82 72
    Win % on 2nd Serve 67 45
    Aces 1 8
    Double Faults 0 0
    Winners 70 51
    Unforced Errors 9 24
    Break Points 1/8 0/4
    Total Points Won 125 113
Work me a boss.

Otlichino as Cannon beat me as Lorenz 67 64 76. Mentally this was a very tough match, the connection was pretty good but the ball was checking making it tough to move.

First set we both held serve comfortably, I was working hard to construct the points but as soon as I dropped the ball short I was punished by the power, especially off my returns. My lefty serve outwide to his poorer backhand was invaluable as I won the breaker.

We both had chances to break in the second but he broke for the only time at 4 all and served out.

Very tense decider, but 2 mini breaks early on in the tiebreak put me on the backfoot. I saved one match point, and the second at 6-5 that I saved on his serve was an unbelieable rally which was easy 40+ shots. After that I thought lady luck was going to be with me but I dropped a service point again and he took it on his third match point.

It's tough to lose such a close match like this when you put so much on but all credit to my opponent.

Cannon also played the short angled approaches excellently and his backhand was very solid he finished with 20 more winners, as I would have expected, but I was on 24 errors to 9 which was my undoing.

All I can say is WOW at that. Should you commit 5 or so errors less, you would have won the match.

It works yey! :P .... a close match Power VS placement!!!! Nice guys.

Seemed to work well, yes he had power but it just put more pressure on me to try and push him around so he could not get settled, hence my errors. It wasn't ridiculous power from anywhere on the court, he punished me when I didn't keep good length, like would happen in real tennis.

On the other hand had I managed to snatch this win it would have been one of my satisyfying victories, because of the stat match up. Maybe next time.
