Like I told you on PSN, feel free to use it as it is within the rules. I admit it, I don't like it, but that's just me. :) I really hated our second match, the one I forced to play that slice, even if it got me the win. But you have mentioned that you enjoyed it, so I guess that is how we are going to play each other.

if the rules not prohibit its all people can do it

you can short slice till your hand rot off

As they are always scrambling toward the net, S&V players feast on short slices.

Short slices = S&V food.

If this continues, maybe we'll see more S&V players.

Every cloud has a silver lining. :P

LT RT slice

Postby Chederer » Mon, 04 May 2009 17:01

i guess we can say LT RT b short cross court is cheesy....cmon guys give me a break.....the rules CLEARLY STATE NO STANDING INSIDE THE BASELINE ON RETURNS....AND THE 90-40XP RULES.....you guys can not say certain shots are cheesy.....if you are good enough you can stop the short slice.....what do you think Feliciano Lopez does when he serves and someone hits it to his backhand as usual? he slices it just about everytime from the backhand side.

Did you think we had these rules you speak of from day one? ....or did we realize later that this was a problem?

I'll just let more people get annoyed by it, I'll wait.

Feliciano Lopez - did you read the thread? Yeah, you right, Lopez always Serves and then short slices while standing in the back court.

I am tired of typing the SAME stuff again and again.

I AM REFERRING TO SHORT SLICE RIGHT AFTER SERVE BY THE SERVER.

Maybe that will help.

I love slices in rally! Use them all the time!

CHEDERER - do you have this game for PS3? ....I think you need to play it by PS3 to make a fair assessment.

 Sorry.

I just feel like I just type the same thing over and over again,
It is obviously my fault, as I am not expressing myself correctly.

Work puts me in the good mood lately! :P Things finally starting to pickup! Yey!!!

I keep hearing that these styles and shots are all apart of tennis and that is true, but guess what guys THIS GAME IS NOT TENNIS!

The real game is full of ways to improve and counter things and if you do
the same thing over and over a half way smart opponent will learn and counter.

This game is full of tactics that people can pull off that no matter what have unfair success rates period.

Since you pretty much know your opponent would short slice after his serve, is it not possible for you to gamble and rush inside the baseline after your return? (or use R1 as you return to rush up)

I know you would have tried the above, but in reality what happens? (I often get annoyed with my player's movement, especially when I want to move up towards the net, the player just strides to the side... what am I doing wrong? Is there something I can do?)
