Played Rob tonight and i won 6-4, 7-6. Then he wanted a rematch and it went 4-6, 6-3, 2-1, Him. I was done after i got broke. My guy couldnt get a serve in and was basically walking to get the ball. I dont think his stamina coud have been beating any faster. Thats beacuse of all the work i had to do in the rallies.

Rob timed my serve way too well in the second match for me to have a shot. The difference in the first set was i could get a serve in, and make a shot. I made so many non risk errors it wasnt funny. I dont know how i won the first set

I didnt play well and rob played to top form.

Just realized this, but i out aced rob in the first match :D . That doesnt happen to often

Then played rob again and lost 6-4, 6-7, 6-7. I was leading in the freaking tiebreak when i hit an amazing serve and rob does one of the falling over risk reutrns. The ball shoots straight up and i follow it back and then drops and clips the line. That killed me. He finally took it 8-10.

Bsck to the match, it was really amazing. We had great him risking rallies and me still getting power on my non risk. We each had to hit more than one winner to get a point. Rob's serve though is so hard to get a good return off of, and when u do, he gets u out of position with a beautiful risk shot. He really is a dangerous player with his baseliner.

Rob is really good in the tiebreaks and u have to hope for a lucky break, which i didnt get in two tirbreaks    .

Thanks for the great matches rob

Actually, I never risk on my serve games except when I'm out of position and go for an all or nothing shot. But the first shot is never a risk.

Oh my bad then. Ok let me rephase.

If u get a decent return then he gets u out of position with a beautiful follow up shot. :D

BTW, i really did think those were risk, my bad, just an honest mistake.

And u do take more chances on my service game, and it usually pays off too.

Yeah, I basically use my serve to get an advantage in a rally and make my opponent run. I don't go for many aces, and I don't try to win the point with the next shot - unless it's break point. Lately I can't hit aces anyway, my serve is just been total crap since I tried playing with the Roddick serve animation - I'm having to re-learn to serve.

I wouldnt say its crap. Your outwide serve on both sides is really amazing. It gets players off the court and allows an easy 1- 2 punch.

Everyone can serve wide. It's my serve up the middle that I'm struggling with - if you can't go up the middle, the wide serves are not nearly as effective.

I guess Rob means that you generally just have to mix up serves well. Right?

to mix serve is very important .life important about a good returner.a well timed serve is the best thing to start into a rally.
always the same serve is a bad start into a rally
so i m really happy that my good serve come back .now i must not serve anymore only with stick(MY SERVEFINGER IS BLUE FROM STICK).
after i changed my serve animation i had problem with my double trigger serve. now, after alot of servetraining i can every double trigger serve well.
only the rt lt x wide serve is little problem
hope that helps me to bring my game forward:
