But i am perfectly happy with 40 90, i dont want a rule change in mid season, then we have to start all over.

This issue is brought up constantly and normally when someone is beat.

I know there are plenty of people without these setups beating them. There is nothing very realistic about this game, there are pros that ball bash and counter punchers and all court players, however it seems like everyone wants to just l trigger 90% and counter punch all day long and that is all that is respected .

But you know what I didnt like the constant l trigger thing but thats the way it is so be it. I just think we either need to change the rule and stick with the rules and if someone is within the rules do not go and use it as a excuse for losing . Your not going to like everyones playing style and not every match will be fun.

Scout your opponent and have multiple players, so if your playing a basher bash back if you think its that big of a advantage.

I think this is a rules that we can trick because i can change my red attributes 90 with attributes 89 that are orange attributes and nothing change... therefore for me eveyone can use all red attributes he wants... :?

Long long thread.

First on Geissbock.
I played him with my Gasquet on the WT and won against him. (gamertag nipspot) . He uses a 90 setup which is perfectly legal. But it's true that you need to be very on top of the game to beat a good 90 player.

Anteros wrote he has only one stats on 90 (which is power) but his fh and bh if I am correct is on 87 88 or something like this which isn't very different from 90 . So that doesn't really make a difference to have only one stats on 90 and the rest very close to it. As Rob already suggested.

The 90 rule was created BUT if I remember correctly it was a rule that could be changed again if there was need to do so.
When the community feels that there is need for a change . The 40 90 is an OK rule. But now that I play only with a "realistic" setup playing against a 90 guy is rather dull.

Joesixtoe said that the rallies go on and on with realistic setup. I think we played once a match with the realistic setup but without risk. And it's true that rallies then are really too long.

As Djarvik said . I think it's time for a rule change . Or like I suggested in the beginning of TS3 setup a seperate tour for people who don't want to play a 90 stacked tour but want to play full on realistic .
I think the color rule was great as an example of how to make a realistic player.

I am rather bored with the 90 setups too . Playing it myself or playing against it and want a rule change cause I don't think I will be playing much longer if it stays like this. I want a more sim tour. Probably a seperate tour so people can choose what they want to play.

I think realistic setup tour will be a huge succes. We SHOULD give it a try like I suggested in the beginning of TS3

This is getting boring somehow - I'm pretty satisfied with the 90-40 rule, even though I would prefer a tour without any limitations at all...

I know for sure, that just in case both players are skilled enough, you can have super-long rallies even if your stats are 90-90-90-90, and even if you use risk-shots...

It is somehow ridiculous to hear people complain about rallies being to short, while they have 90 serve (IMO the only stat that is destroying the game a bit if it is too high), and only 70 or less on speed and 40 stamina...

There have always been rules, but this is going to be a bit too extreme I think - it would be OK for me, if we had a seperate tour with the colour-rule or whatelse, but please leave the 90-40 tour just like it is...

I'm sure that no matter how groundbreaking, fair and "perfect" the changes would be, people would again complain after some time...

You guys should never forget that this is still a video-game and not real tennis...

It's not about rallies being to short or too long but the game being too 1 dimensional.

Playing you is fun with the 90 setup somehow , but it has very little to nothing to do with tennis. It's a video tennis game , kindda arcade style and there is nothing wrong with that.

You love to rt-lt return almost all returns, and then finish the next shot with a winner . But if you would have a weaker wing you wouldnt be able to hit that winner so easy , cause risking of the weaker wing is less consistant and hitting a normal shot hard with a clear weaker wing will be less effective .
It is still possible but harder.

I do think many people prefer realism. That means having a good forehand or backhand . And because you can't bash the ball from BH and FH you will need to come to the net at times .etc etc. Things that just don't happen in the 40.90 rule with some exceptions.

I think the 40 90 is pretty good but there is need for some change. I would think the best solution is to have a seperate tour. Like TS1 had.

thats nonsens, ,every setup is unrealistic in ts3. there is no difference in tennis look alike .however ,the community will no change. look the votes in past polls.
but maybe a seperate tour works with lower stats. a riskfest tour for lt and rt risker.
but to stopp 90-40 tour in mid season is unfair and the biggest mistake what itst can do.
now every tournament is nearly full off player, by change you can play with 20 people the tour forward.
90- 40 is the best compromiss. and it work. only a handfull people will not accept this

I don't really think there is a need to stop the regular tour or change the rules for that . Cause there are many people , like you, who don't care so much about simulation in that sense. And thats cool and undertand that. That's why TS3 is made . To attract all kind of players . Keep it commercial.

I do think a seperate tour would be great and maybe will be a bigger succes then people will think. For the simmers.
