i use to charge a bullet in case of non-consistent serves, but i guess that having 90 in return helps. still, sometimes it doesn't work because the boy hits the ball at like 2 mtrs of height so the ball goes fast but has a strange trajectory and in the meantime the opponent can think about how to rape u. maybe not cheesy, surely realistic as an ass :D and as djarvik says, if you have already pressed r2/l2 for a nice risk-return...well...most of the times you are f$$$ed
btw, i never tried 2 use it, i'll try sometimes from now on!

How exactly is this serve done? Using buttons or stick? Is it only done by not using RT? Cause I also mix up RT-LT serves and LT-only serves, but I don't think that they are that slow, also I don't think that my opponents have bigger problems in returning them, the only "advantage" is that I think I have a bit more time to react!

I also wrote not cheesy. It can be annoying if someone would only serve like that but thats all really.

Actually I like that someone who has little on return gets punished because he can't return these kind of serves well.

Don't tell him! Everyone must stick to your original serving.

djarvik ii used some kick serves into the corners during our match adn you were returning them fine, in fact you got a lot of poitns off of that serve.

Maybe you were havinig a good day, i dont know. Although i do have to say it wasnt 90 mph but more around 110 so maybe thats why. :D

No i do not think its cheesy, i just stick to normal LT returning when i get one and hope i time it right.
It works too.

I think you use no triggers, and just tap the button. I experimented with it a little, but the aiming is so much different.

I think it can also be done with the stick, but you'd have to move VERY slow.

I just tried it in a match with no LT or RT and the guy double risked shot it back for a winner every time. Whether he got lucky o dont know.

OK. I will have to agree with majority. The verdict is - drum roll please....

NOT cheesy!

I guess I would have to work on all the suggestions above and see what works best.

But If it is not cheesy, I will then learn how to serve this way, so I can "return the favour" when needed.

Rob, were you able to recreate it? ....since Holla Its Mike is "keeping" his "secrets" to himself  ...dude, that is a little childish, but whatevr works for ya!

@Norberto H - man! I do not remember having so much fun in TS3!!! Our matches today were just great! About that serve, you really need to play someone who does it well, to understand. I can see you having a little trouble with it  ...maybe not, maybe it is just me.

@pogagna - let's put it this way, I would love that serve if I had your 90 in return!

@ANILTJE - your post made me change my mind. I will have to learn that serve to give some of 40 returners trouble

@Picachu - do you find Norberto's serve easy  ? I find his serve one of the best out there.

@Coolhand Texas - Nice matches today buddy! No, you didn't serve that way at all! ..... you need to see that serve to understand, I am thinking it is not even possible with high serving rating, as the ball will travel too fast and will not have a chance to Raise all the way up, as it does, say with 50 sereve.

I don't really think these serves are cheesy. They are a smart change up from fast serves that people get into a rhythm of returning. That said, I don't really know how to do it.

Hate? Where?

Yes, you are being childish, just a little. Did you read the thread?

This is all clean fun.

I have been nothing but respectfull to you and your game. Right? Have I?

May I remind you the last two times we play before, you quit both times once I took the first set and broke you in the second???

..... oh I have to go some where (playing the world tour)....

.... oh your serving is cheesy

Dear Holla Itz Mike - "Don't Blame Your Mirror for Your Zit".

I was wondering if the serve was cheesy, so I have created a poll. I have admited in my last post that I was wrong.
.... do you want to wipe my face with it??? ....oh you beat me! So did a LOT of people here, hardly an accomplishmet.

Let's be real. You served "out of ordinary", I wondered if it was cheesy, I have created a poll. I have never proclaimed it is cheesy, I have asked for advise.

Now, when are we playing next time? I really admire your footwork and tennis IQ, you are a smart player who I should be playing more to get better.

Cheers. (BTW, don't drink and post ever! the posts tend to be too long! )

Here it strikes again with me and my "tough draws" I am due to meet Holla Itz Mike in the 2nd round of the BNP Paribas tournament. He sounds like he is going to be a nightmare draw for such an early round :(

Anyway with regards to the thread topic, I wish I could hit such effective kick serves  . I have been on the receiving end of quite a few and it is very annoying when the ball bounces completely over your head and there is nothing you can so about it but just as long as that serve isn't abused then I don't mind so much. It seems to be tough to pull off as I have had no one do it against me consistently.......I better not be tempting faith here
