Quarter Final: Marco_Theo def. Norberto = 6-4 6-2. Both the great Roger!

I thought, I can open a topic about this challenger tournament.

No match for me in the first round, I played my first match in the quarter against the TS3 king Norberto.

First Set I had very much problems to read his serve, like nearly always.
I was able to break him at 3:3 I think. And then bring at home the set 6:4.

In the second set he wasn't so sure with his footwork, was a bit easyer to hit winners.
The result was a 6:2 at the end.

I was very happy with my serve, I did not allowed him a break point.

I had this message, when I tryed to insert the print screen: The extension bmp is not allowed.
Maybe someone can tell me, why it was not possible to insert the bmp file? Thx in advance

So here the stats written by hand:

Winners: 32 / 20
UE: 11 / 24
Breakpoints 3 of 9 / 0 of 0
points total: 62 /41

Obviously he has .bmp file, he possibly wondered why he cannot use the "Upload attachment" for it.

On German: Marco, "Upload attachment" ist nur für .dmo files erlaubt. Um Screenshots von Matchstatistiken hochzuladen solltest du spezielle Imagehoster benutzen, z.B. http://www.noelshack.com.

Felipe10 def. Tigerofintegrity 6-4, 6-4

Second match in a row I've lost to him! It was a good, close fight again but he was more consistent throughout the match as last time. Sometimes there can be a good bit of lag playing him but he seems to be really good at dealing with it whilst I struggle at times in the match.

One break in each set was enough for him. I struggled to get into his service games because he was serving ridiculously well, 83% of 1st serves in and often on/near the lines! I can normally return very well with Ferrer but he wasn't giving me much chance with his serves going in and I struggled to put any direction on the returns due to the lag. When we did get into the rallies, I felt it was quite even but the difference was the first serve. It was hard to get enough cheap points on serve as Ferrer.

I think I'm playing at a pretty good level now, I just need to be more consistent in matches. The second set was neck to neck until midway through, when I was 40-0 up on serve, then just lost concentration and lost 9 straight points. Well done to Felipe10 for playing well though!

PS. Was going to post link to stats but Imageshack is randomly down so will have to do it later.

Yes, Felipe beat me, and there was rather a lot of lag.
He's very good though.

Lost in two sets my semi final against Napalm.

Del Potro def. Federer 6:3 6:3

The strength of Del Potro was the key in this game, but Napalm was sensational in foot working. He hit very strong and accurate. With his 73 speed he moved also like a rabbit.

First set was closer than the result shows. He concretize one break ball, at the beginning I lost my service, 2:0 for him and then 3:0. After this I was able to bring at home every service. 3:1, 4:2, 5:3 and finally 6:3. I was nearly capable to rebreak in a few occasions. But at the he won the first set, without loosing a service game. Bravo!

Second set I begun to serve, we went to 1:1, and then again I lost my service, 1:2, after my service lost he scored to 1:3. 2:3, won my service. The sixth game was the key, 15:40, two break balls for me, but he was able to play super and scored, after a long during sixth game, to the score 2:4. Next two service games both without break --> 3:5. In the ninth game I was in front 40:15, but at the end he breaked me to the final score 6:3 in his favour.

Good luck for the semi final Peter! :)

I was happy with my game, TE makes very fun, also when you lose.
Thx to Ugadalou for the practice before this match and also for his offer, to practice with me during the off season.

ciao ragazzi

Many thanks for the match. Marco, you are really friendly and fair guy. :)

Yes, I think the main thing in my victory is "The strength of Del Potro". His forehand is fenomenal, especially down the line. I felt this stroke really nice.

At the beginning, in first game, I had problem with my serve and thought "Ops, I'm in trouble". Somehow I won this game. In next game I broke Marco, and I started to fell his playing style. To be honest, in 80%, I had no troubles with recognize the direction of his shots. Thats maybe a reason Marco wrote that I moved like a rabbit. :D

In second set I had problem with concetration in sixth game. Marco had two opportunities to broke me, but my serve started to work finally (one ace) and I focused on evey ball, that why I was able to win this game.
After match both of us were going to watch WTF Semifinal Federer vs Murray. :c
