pad vs. keyboard

Postby Marco_Theo_81 » Sat, 20 Oct 2012 10:19

ciao ragazzi

Changed from PS3 pad to the keyboard.
Had my first match, one set, against Vlad, close one with 5:7 in favour of him.

I play with ASDW, to move.
And with the number field to hit.
5-> normal shot
4-> acceleration
6-> slice
1-> drop shot
7-> offensive lob

The other shots with movement, down or up, like top spin or defensive lob.

What the keyboard guys think about this constellation?
Would be great to see, how you play with the keyboard.

Was a great feeling, my reactions, I think, were better. Also the movements.
Vlad told me in the chat after the match, that I played better than the last times against him.

Will keep playing with the keyboard and later play again some tournaments.

nice weekend!

That's almost my layout you are using here :)

You should add a direct shortcut key for short accelerations, i'm using "+" on the numpad for it.
And maybe another one for regular short b1's.
Hello friend ;)

I'm using direction buttons to control movement. My shots are like this:

A: B2 (Slice)
S: Acceleration
D: Normal shot
W: Topspin shot
C: Short normal shot
X: Short acceleration
E: Lob (+up= aggressive lob)
Q: Drop shot

I feel a bit weird because I'm using the opposite hands compared to you :yikes

Hei Ary

We have to practice a bit someday. :)

Thx for the answer.

Now I changed:

Movement still on asdw, but everything else now on the numpad:

1: short acceleration
4: normal acceleration
7: aggresive lob
2: short normal shot
5: normal shot
8: top spin
3: drop shot
6: slice
9: defensive lob

I thougt, it would be difficult to choose the right shot in fast exchanges, but it's just a practice thing.

Played for the first time with this constellation against a Mana player, won a close set 7:6 (12:10)

He with Tsonga with incredible service skills. Maybe like Goroger. Was so hard to return.
Do not remember his name. :??

Ary, the great Robbin also plays with the direction buttons and with asdw for the shots, exactly like you.

nice weekend all
