C4iLL wrote:Brushed Big talks as if he's the specialist of SV ; okay, then go ahead, play as a SV, and show us you can get into the top10. The problem is you can't even beat the top20 with a baseliner, so with a SV, I'm not sure you could win a match...

But thanks anyway for your so intelligent comments, they are well appreciated.

I think for anyone aiming to get into the top 10 or even top 20, a S&V game isn't likely to do it. I can't think of any of the top players on here who don't play a baseline game, S&V is becoming a dying art as it is in the real game of tennis, there are too many weaknesses to expose.

You can´t beat the TOP Players, because you can´t break them. And only win with Tie Breaks needs unbelievable Nerves and many luck. :D

So, what i read here is, that S&V is hard to handle.
And, Djarvik, when you don´t can play every first Volley perfect, or one Volley after that is not perfect, every Noob can Lob you.
And i think when 2-3 Drop Shots every Game are not allowed, 2-3 Lobs must be also not allowed.

The S&V Players have one (!!!!!) Advantage. To play a Passing Shot against S&V is hard to play. But with many, many Lobs they have no (!!!!) Advantage anymore. And thats unfair.

I don´t say that Baseliners don´t make Powershots or Serves Outwide, therewith i can break them easier. And i don´t play Drop Shots and go to the Net to win against them.

So, i hope that ITST say every once in a while Lobs are okay, but not every Ralley.

PS: I think Volley Shots Artist is much better than Amazing First Volley. The Skill from Amazing First Volley is the same, that you have by all Volleys in VSA!!!!!
I now try to play with a 14-6-0 with Coach Agular and 4/0 FH/BH. The Advantage is, that you has 1 Wing that can make Points, a good Serve and very good Volleys (with VSA). And the Slice is good against playing at my Backhand.

What is the best Setup with Amazing First Volley??? I think every Setup has too many disadvantages....

For me Magnus Golgolja 6-8-6 (3-1) or Andrés Quiroga 2-6-12 (2-2) but with this setups you wont have more than 68 in Volley. I say that because he has good speed so is easy to you to keep the point. For me this is better than Drive and Backhand to play against ofensive baseliners. But is trully hard to win against defensive players with this setups because it hasnt good volleys, serves or control shots, specially Quiroga.

I dont know why there isnt the same rule of the dropshots to jabs. The Djarvik´s advices to play on the net are very good but its isnt the matter.
The question is why people can do several jobs againstt S&V and cant do dropshots against defensive baseliners.

Drop shots are slower than lobs, can often be seen miles away and also require better timing (2 buttons instead of one). Also a poorly timed drop shot is more likely to hit the net than a poorly timed lob flying wide or long. From the baseline of course.

There's a also a "no-strike zone" somewhere between an overhead and a push volley, when the ball is coming in at a certain height and the player just refuses to put it away like he would in real life but instead is programmed to run back and hit a completely useless tweener or a weak top spin shot.

I know S&V is hard to play but why dont you try low volley specialist?...with the combination by using the tallest guy.

Du hast net verstanden worauf ich hinaus wollte ;D

You can use low volley specialist and positioning your payer 0,5-1m behind the net. So for your opp its much harder to play a lob. When your opp realise lobs are useless against you he will switch to normal shots which gives you the advatange with "low volley specialist" skill.

I currently use alex bickham drop shot artist and volley shot artist this is probably the best option if want you to played serve and volley and compete from the basline it give you a good serve volleys, good reflexes decent speed and good orange wings or one red ,one orange depending on how you allocate the points
