How many hours do you play TS4 a week?

Postby Moralspain » Fri, 04 Nov 2011 19:15

Just wanna know if there's really a cause-effect relationship between hours of gaming and good/bad results

I'll start: i play, at most, 15 minutes a week.
Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

No that's not true..Maybe if you practice alot then you need not to warm up before Itst matches and maybe it helps a little... But I guess it does not make big difference...most of the times I watched Likos playing Itst matches only.. Same was for nitoflament and he was no1 in ts3.. Same is for tigerofintrgrity and fabada.. And I remember chump101 was in top 8 and I hardly caught him online except for Itst match.. He was only online to play Itst matches only and most of the times after several days and still he was great

At the moment - 1-2 hours a week of TS4. I really don't think you need to practice to be good at this game. Once you grasp the fundamentals you are good to go at moment notice. Of course there is a small period of "catching" the timing again...but that lasts a few games only...

With TS3 I remember if you didn't practice 2-3 days in a raw - you were in real trouble...

Yea for ts3 because of risk shots you need to practice 10-15 mins before a Itst match to get your risk shots back on track with perfect timings

Too many actually. It was the same with Ts3 though. I think the practice can really help the anticipation aspect of your game and being able to read your opponents' shots better. As far as your own skill though I think once you find a good setup and style of play for yourself you can really lock in.

One thing I like to do is play music shared through my home network out of my XBox while playing Top Spin. It's great replacing the lame music in the game and lets you sort of zone out and sing along during boring matches!

I do this almost every day on a real tennis court ;)

I was spending tons of time with TS3, it was a drug. You loved it, you hated it - but you just had to play. After 10 minutes with any other game - back to TS3. Now with TS4 I don't have that, so I play very little. Surprisingly, I am still pretty good.

I used to play a lot, but now I really only play my ITST matches and occasionally a practice match with someone from ITST. Never play the WT and rarely play the CPU on expert.

I totally agree, i really don't practise anymore, i just play my ITST matches and a couple of practise matches with zooloo mostly.

Now that COD MW3 is coming out, i don't see much time for ITST matches also

At a high level, it needs more than few games to get back at a top level i think. The problem is not the timing, which is easy to get back, it's about the anticipation skills. But it's just an opinion, i'm not sure about that ^^

Hmm, I cant answer that.... :P

But maybe some people here know - in the last weeks since I joined ITST, where I saw, that the level is so much higher then on WT I practise like everyday...sometimes up to 4-5 hours...

I even had a thumb-injury because of too much training...some people know that - but I have to say: It's worth practising a lot because only then you can improve a lot :D

Yeah i agree with C4ill, when i played everyday i just knew by my oponnet power and where he was hitting how to get a perfect timing 90% maybe 95% out of times, and right now im lucky if i get 80% of my timing perfects and this is making me fall behind on the competition.
