kremlin cup quarters classic (sim tour)

Image

played a very special match vs farshad 2day and got my revenge after he beat me earlier last week, this was a rollacoaster match as in the 1st set farshad was playing really well and coming up with insane angles and wrong footing me alot and i had no answer to his play.
i thought 2nd set i need 2 start reading his play abit more and stop trying to get into the middle of the court like topsin tell you to do lol and i had much betetr success in reading him, also my serve was clicking well for me aswell. and i broke early and held my serve all the way.

the 3rd set i raced up 2 a 3-0 lead then he began to lift it again when i thought i had it won and he broke me back when i was 4-2 up, however i regrouped and found my range and broke him again and serve it out in fashion.
was a great match and i look forward to more games with farshad in the future!

Epic Final, (Shanghai reg tour)

I was able to dominate quite easily in the first set but in the second Likos was able to focus more and play better. It really surprised me and i got destroyed...

I tried to concentrate as much as i could during the break between sets but he probably did the same :D So the 3rd set first games were very aggressive. I broke him straight away but he took the break back.

Then we broke each other again to 2-2 but after that he held his serve and broke me again... I almost hit myself with the racket at this point and the frustration didnt let me focus anymore.

At 5-3, as usual in this kind of situation i tried everything to surprise him and 30-40 match point, i win the point and manage to take his serve again to 5-4 ! Next 3 games were quite safe for each of us as if we agreed this had to end in a tiebreak.

In the TB, i tried to be as aggressive and use as many variations as possible on returns, and it allowed me to take his serve several times, even tough i lost mine a couple of times, and i got the match :)

About game styles it s been good looking with both of us mixing various shots. Many long rallies with epic defensive shots on both sides, deadly inside outs, crazy battles around the net. I think we both played very well, except i had a feeling my player was so slow today but it s probably because Lycos can put the ball so far away from me... ;)

So, GG Lycos, another epic match, with skill style and fair play on both sides, but this time for the very first time on reg tour i win :D im very happy about that. Congratz on final bro.

You said everything my friend! The match was just a classic! I really wanted to throw my controller as far away as i could on 5-3 match point for me, but i thought then that i would need another 50 euros for a replacement

EPIC final it had it all. Congrats man, i have mixed feelings now, im very dissapointed that i lost but from the other hand happy about you that you won because you are a great player.

Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

Wow, that looked like a great match. I don't mind losing as long as my matches are exciting like this one.

St. Petersburg Open (MSS) Likos gets the better of friend and main rival Zooloo 6-2, 6-4

Overall it was a great match with lots of rallies as usual, with both of us trying to get in control of the match. It was mostly a mental match, with both of us trying to suprise each other.

In 2nd set, zooloo was returning really well, and broke early on to lead 1-3 at sometime. I packed my things up and retaliated with some smart play, while zooloo kept playing those awesome returns, which always put me in pressure in my serve. At 4-4 i felt ultimate (lol) pressure and i narrowly escaped with the game, after 5-10min of battles!

Good game mate, you are one of the fairest, if not fairest player on tour :)

Valencia Open 500 (MS) DennieFR proceeds to final after crazy thriller against Zooloo

Image

Well guys normally I don't post match results but this match was to awesome and crazy to ignore. In the first set I took a 5-2 lead, gained a set point at advantage but missed an open shot.. lost the game, the two following games where also deuce (strangely enough no more set points) I managed to play away many bp/gp, but eventually it went back to 5 all. After a love game of Zooloo and me keeping my serve as well, in the ti break I also took an 5-2 lead. It went to 5-4, 6-4, 6-5 and like it was ment to be he hitted his only ace of the match, 6-6. I was almost going crazy after SO many chances to finish off the set, but managed to keep my focus, and won the ti break dispite all this crazy shit; 8-6.

2nd set was again very close, Zooloo took a quick 2-0 lead, and tried to walk away by breaking me again, after a tough game I managed to keep my serve. Eventually the score went to 5-3 for Zooloo, when I had that period where all my strokes seemed to go perfectly, I managed to break him, get back to 5-5, 30-0 for me at my serve and was confinced to finish the match off this set, when some crazy old guy (my dad ) came by and jelled at me dispite my request to talk about his issues later.... I lost my focus and gave away my lead and lost the set: 7-5.

After this set we had a small break, which was very usefull because I was very iritated the way the 2nd set ended. I begun the 3rd set very confincing and quickly went to 3-0, it was a match with many breaks so it didn't really matter I had the advantage of a break ahead. All the games after where very close and we drove each other to the limit, Zooloo managed to break me back, the score was 4-3 for me, after that I placed another break, and told myself this time he won't get back I must win this game. I started the game very strong going to 40-15, and after a long rally (one of many) I finally won the match :D

I think the entire match it was a very consistant skill level, and we both where evinely matched. Zooloo really pushed the max out of me and I couldn't think of winning until I finally won that final point, he is a true beast and together with Likos and Tiger the best I've played. Amazing match my friend this is why I play this game ;)

Well that has a few reasons...

first of all you played very very well.. all your balls where very precise you wouldn't let me get to my game.

As second I was so stupid to use the wrong setup, normally I use Neuwirth or Welch, now I used Rabari... dunnow why lol..

I was also just to iritated and not sharp enough, my timing was off I just didn't play good and like I said you played to good to make that up with taktikal play, it just wasn't my day. :)

Ah okay yes I see. Thank you...
Its just, I was wondering, because I have been pracitising with my master Zooloo :D a lot before and we all know, what he is capable off, but you're a great player too...
So I was just wondering: "Wow, close result but wait....our match was not in three sets" Hehe.

Oh and btw - Thank you for your messages on PSN and I know, what you feel like.

For me its the same feeling with the 98/98 setup, where people are able to produce over 30 points only by serving aces... :-/
