doubles isnt broken. its actually tennis on some level.

singles, on the other hand, doesnt resemble tennis on any level.

its a travesty 2k was so utterly negligent and failed to allow 4 console doubles. might have made TS4 worth the sticker price.

I don't think opening up a thread singling out a member is the best way to approach approach this topic but see as it has here are my thoughts....

Lokisharpshooter is a fantastic player, to be honest whilst I do not play TS4 much these days this guy has really picked up the mantle. A great all rounder, perfect timing, intelligence and volley mix up.

Julius Jackson's comments here are irrelevant on all accounts - Lokisharpshooter along with Sh0case are a class act, a talent pool that I have not come across in a long time. When TS4 kicked off in May OuiMr Berson, Dapery, Hollla Itz Mike, Retos and myself were carving out our place at the top, however just because people have moved on for different reasons does not mean to say that the new influx are not as talented - on the contrary, i think they are setting the standard, even an old dog like me is finding it hard to catch up in practice matches.

However what is lacking now and especially amongst the top ranked players is respect - I have never seen so much winging and bitching as what is being flung around at the moment. At the end of the day there are always going to be playing styles that are not for everyones taste, however show some people a bit of respect and show yourselves to be credible. Back in Ts3 days the likes of Noberto, Illuvbillval, Djarvik, Puttu, Zizou where all warriors and whilst some people did not warm to each others tatics the thrill and intensity of being in a match with them was still there - at the end of the day we were all playing in ITST, no one forced us to do it. The same should apply now.

Also the site is not just about the top guns, far from it, what makes the site is not the Top 10 but the hundreds of members that keep this site ticking over with tight management - people play because they enjoy topspin, people play because they like the concept of ITST, people play because they have a spare 2 hours a week to play some video games from time to time. I myself have had moments of over boiling the odd time on the forums, its instinctive in some people but that does not mean its acceptable.

Sh0case and Fifa tee are great playes, just as good if not better than me, why do you praise yourself for winning in doubles when less than 16 people play the tour?

And im not by any chance saying something bad about OuiMrberson(in fact i wish along with Sh0case that he would be unbanned) but dont forget i beat him in the only ITST match we ever played.

In fact: Khult, Sh0case, Fifa, Dapery, Bkristian, ShwchizerMongo, Norberto, Supermassy, even Avinash and Dionl1993(both of which ive had ´´arguments`` with) are all very good at this game and your post insults not only me but all of them.

TS4 singles is not tennis. its broken in every respect.

once you play doubles you realize how utterly shit singles is. if you havent played doubles then i guess you just cant realize the dramatic difference.

singles=checkers
doubles=chess

like i said. 2k dropped the ball...so everyone has to endure the crap experience that is singles

I appreciate you have your opinion man but doubles is completely different to singles and vice versa - I am giving due respect to both. That said the two are styles in themselves, just like in real life.

I remember playing Zizou and guest in doubles and I got crushed, like a bug. My first doubles match and my guest had never played the game before but still I had a fighting chance on paper. 6-0 6-0, not to me! Put me in the singles arena and its a different game. Again, respect to both.

So all credit to you dominating the doubles (shame the tournaments have been put on hold) however the competition in singles in comparison is immense, not opinion, fact. It is much tougher to be the best in singles than a field of 8 doubles teams, 3 of which are post men or farmers in their spare time no doubt. I am part of your quote "fledding" members out of the top 10 and therefore I comment with relevant experience - Loki and Sh0case are a damn sight tougher then others I have played in my opinion and with due credit play fair and execute variety. Berson, whilst effective at what he did was a cross court topspin player all day long, all day.

However, as I said before, the above come natural to some people, just a shame some people don't show as much intelligence on the forums as they do in the game.

respect your opinions, too. but doubles is VASTLY superior to singles in every way possible. theres still some stuff that is broken in doubles, dont get me wrong...but it actually mimics real tennis. singles... singles is an embarrassing thing to behold. not a single facet of tennis (outside of maybe serving) is close to being realistic. i mean, control shots dont even exist in real life...yet they are the foundation of singles gameplay

maybe you just had a bad experience with doubles or something. but anyone who thinks singles is superior to doubles in any way imagainable needs to have their head promptly examined.

In first time sorry, it wasnt my intention to be disrespectful. Only wanted to say that he always said that the game is garbage. Only doubles is good. I've read the same words many times, and i think that this isn't respect the other people who likes the game. Obiusly the game could be better or more realistic...or not. But it's a game.
