cheeting

Postby R_LeeFly » Fri, 14 Oct 2011 18:18

I was yesterday playing my XXX match vs XXXXX and i lost XXXXX In the second and third set he uses slow services at important points so i could hit the bal hard back. After my return he could hit a winner, because my slow return at his slow service. My host says that it's availble, but i am realy sure this is very cheeting. Do you guys think the same? If it's not against the rules, i am very disappointed in ITST. My host said also that it's avaible at the MS tour, but forbidden on the sim tour. Is this a joke or not?

i´m not sure about this.
i know that sim and normal tour have different rules.
i think that is banned to serve with slice in deuce if you are a right-handed player but i m not sure.
you must talk with XXXXXX, but in my opininon, it s a bit ridiculous to ba the slice serves.

For REG tour:

Tramline serves. Moving your player out wide for serving is considered cheesy and should not be done. Throughout the match, your player also moves towards the forehand side. It is a good practice to move your player one step back to the middle of the court at least once a set, or whenever you notice he has moved towards the tramlines.

For SIM tour there are these additional rules:

- SIM-Cheese includes 0-power serves and FH power slices and may expand
- Players are to move all the way to the middle when serving beginning of each set

Since your match was a REG tour match it arguably was not cheesy.

Slice serves are not banned, neither in REG nor in SIM tour.

Your host is right, possibly we should change that, i agree, but right now "the zero power serve" is not banned for the REGULAR tour.
Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.
