No my friend. You know, that I just wanted to tease you a bit, as usual :D
You know that I think you're a good player....but I do also think, maybe it would have been different, if you got the draws I get all the time lol.

But it is farther away from the "real thing" then the DMT and TS3.

DMT and TS3 I could completely get into the game and play the opponent rather then a controller.

DMT, DMT and again DMT ??? :D :D :D :D I can't believe you actually wrote that Al :-)

I've been playing DMT again. Provided you play lag free the game is just awesome. For sure not perfect. But seriously I have no clue why they didn't make a mix of TS3 and DMT.
DMT is an ugly game to look at compared to the TS series. But so simple yet so deep.
You can hit a lot of UE if you go for the lines like crazy and go for the most impossible ( inside out or down the line) shots.
But if you shrink down the court you can keep the ball somewhat in play unless ur being pushed etc.
You actually can control the ball and placement. And become the best at it.

Tennis Elbow 2011 is pretty more realistic and funny to play than DMT dudes...

My main 'challenge' with SIM is the 'lack of pace'.

Just had a match, and it felt like playing in treacle. I mis-timed more shots than I've ever done, while waiting for the ball to actually reach me. Played the match with a lot of frustration/irritation on that account.

TS4 is fundamentally flawed in too many areas anyway, so SIM is like trying to patch up torn clothes...

Both Tours annoy me, so it looks like I'll have to swap/rotate btw them, to keep my inevitable frustration under some measure of control.
I used to think I was indecisive... but now I'm not so sure.

I think that is one big flaw that's left in the game: slower shots are harder to time than fast shots.

Or, maybe it's just me, because some people put away every slow ball I hit.....

I agree, I think they are much harder to time -- they should have made the timing window for slow shots HUGE so it was really easy to hit one perfectly. It's why people can be so effective hitting cheesy lobs on WT because it's almost impossible to put one of those away.

This also comes into play on serves, where it's much easier to hit a good return or return winner against someone serving at like 120 mph than it is against someone serving at 90 mph (at the upper reaches of serves it works the way it should, since it's really hard to return against people hitting 130 on the lines). Most of the time, even when you hit a perfect flat return against a slow serve, it just sort of floats back into play.

Am i the only one that thinks slow shots are easy to perfect time? O.o

It helps that i play the CPU a lot i think and playing against Sh0case you do 1 ball less than perfect and he wins the rallie so i need to be 95-100% perfect on my shots.

I voted Reg tour. No doubt for me.

Before the update SIM was very fun and attractive, but now all that comes to mind is booooring... last SIM match I almost fell asleep, before that match I had a great exciting set against Zooloo, and after I had that sim match, really, I had a hard time keeping my eyes open..

It's pretty logical, the sim tour has been very well tested before it was set up, but that was before the update, it's probably clear to everyone many things changed after the update, so it's only logical it affects the sim tour, and that's in a bad way, I think.

Maybe if you hadnt lost you´d be happier with SIM tour, i agree with Djarvick that they are both great but SIM will show who´s good and who only really on a OP build.

Well, actually that has nothing to do with it. It was my first SIM match in a long time and it was a huge difference with the regular match before that. It's weak that people come tell me it's becouse I lost or something.. and if you mean the loss in my profile I'm not talking about that it was 13 days ago..

Yea right if you just use OP build you will just be one of the best in REG tour.. You think it's really that easy.... ?

To clearify my states, after the update the game has gotten slower, making it harder to finish off points, before when the game was to fast it was a great compensation with SIM tour becouse it made the game more realistic, now it's just boring and to slow. And maybe It's also becouse I'm tired and overreacting that's possible.

Apologies, i didnt check your profile i just assumed you lost :P, i used to think SIM was slow too but since then i´ve had some matches against Sh0case and it felt the same way that the REG tour, we were exchanging crazy flat angled shots just like normal and running like crazy so i guess its not the SIM problem but your opponent couldnt make the best out of his player or you couldnt do it.

i agree with both of you, for me sometimes sim matchs are very nice with very good looking points and a lot of fun, but some other time both players just look kind of stupid, hitting too many weak balls and it gets boring.

i dont know why :D

In fact I did lose, but it was a practice match and couldn't get motivated becouse the game was so slow, but like I said it probably has to do with the fact that I'm tired I'm probably overreacting :)

I do like the fact that you have to use more intelligence instead of just hitting hard with your 90+ power guy, but if you ask me the stats could be a little higher. Like I said before the update it was fun, but it seems to me after this match (first SIM in 13 days) it has become a little to slow, but again it could be me.

I think it's because TS4's game engine is just inherently flawed with the lack of errors.

I like SIM more than the regular tour because I think it usually takes more strategy, but there are times where it feels like you are just hitting moon balls back and forth. But the regular tour is too much about people just crushing shots right on the lines almost every shot because you're almost never going to hit it out. I think the regular tour is too fast, and the SIM tour is better, but sometimes it's too slow.
