SIM V REG

Postby Tamthewasp » Wed, 05 Oct 2011 01:23

With the Sim tour under way I thought I'd ask the Question of What do you prefer and Why.

I'll start. I prefer the sim so far because of the balance of play and the lifelike stats with strong/weak wings. The speed of game is much better aswell.

Come on ITSTers lets hear your thoughts

i voted reg, but i really enjoy sim too.

i might change my mind later, but so far i prefer the more punchy play on reg tour

on the other hand sim has more thinking and that s nice too

I voted REG. SIM is great and everything, but if I had to chose one tour that I could only play for the rest of my life, it would be REG. For me, SIM is more of a change of pace, a break from the normal tour, a breath of fresh air.

Oh yeah, and an escape from cheesers :o

Exactly what the two above me said combined into one. Because I'm lazy like that.

To me SIM is generally a bit more fun because it relies more so on skill than stacking setups, but I enjoy both very much. I think Regular is quite fun because you can actually create your characters and such. Statistically I've just fared better in SIM.

sim is better but it doesnt fix the fact TS4 is an utterly broken gm for singles.

I dont get people saying that the game is broken, how can this game be broken?

Just because you´re bad at the game doesnt make it broken, i like how you say its broken on singles but on doubles where you win every match the game isnt broken right?

This got old and this got tiring already, i remember how every MLG player for halo 3 was all bitching when reach came out, but by now the´ve gotten use to it and if they were to came back to 3 they would be complaining about it.

The game isnt broken, its just isnt TS3 and it never will be, but again why is that problem. TS3 was all about risks on every ball, it was boring and it was stupid( i never played ITST on TS3 but i was like 500W-20L on WT ) Risk slices were way too easy too make the same goes for risk slice volleys.

If people would say that this game has problems that would be ok for me, like control shots are way too powerfull and precise, control volleys are too good, some builds are too strong, AA sucks etc...

But if all you can say its tha the game is broken and cant come up whit a reason why its broken, then you´re a cry baby that cant handle the fact that people succed where you´ve failed.

I´ve voted REG because even tough SIM is more dynamic im more used to play REG, by the end of the day who rules REG is gonna rules SIM too.

I took REG too, but not because I don't like SIM.

It's kinda fun as well if I would not get such hard draws all the time (:-P) but I like REG more since this type is better for my nerves :D

well, actually right now we have only two options..In the regular tour you become a 98/98 stick bersek or go for a 90/90 smell of blood only control shots type of thing. If you ask me , that kinda boring and to make things worst after the update the regular tour looks like sim.

On the other hand we have the sim tour that well im not gonna say anything about it.

So this aint all that! And thats the truth. Top spin 3 was all about risk, well this game its all about acing people or just hitting control shots left and right. Not a lot of difference if you ask me!

I voted Sim, because the outcome is more decided by the player than the build and give's a chance to have a gameplan before going to the match! :D

exactly. TS4 singles is determined by aces and control reflex shots at bs angles. whoever gets the magical control shot to the middle of the box first wins the pt. just retarded. those shots RARELY happen in real life yet TS4 is so utterly flawed that the entire mode of singles is determined by these "incredible" shots

ive said it before, ill say it again. the ONLY thing that is sim/done well in TS4 is serving. the rest of the gm is utterly crap.

the reason doubles is lightyrs better is because most of the flaws that are magnified in singles are simply not allowed to matter in doubles. for example, the short angle crosscourt crap...does nothing for you in doubles. dropshots...do nothing for you in doubles. overpowered setups...do nothing for you in doubles. doubles is about strategy and skill; singles is about finding a broken aspect of the gm...rinse/repeat until you win.

you seriously want a list of TS4 flaws? ok.

take every aspect of the game of tennis...make a list...now cross off serving...there are the flaws of TS4
