Djokovic was hammering them about not having a roof today -- they interviewed him while I was watching and he suggested they should get a roof several times.

it's true that these 2 days without playing may cause that some guys lose their concentration.

btw David Ferrer explained on a radio show that yesterday Nadal, Roddick, himself and i guess more players where waiting in the looker room and really pissed off with the ATP calendar and also with the situation at the US Open.
Roddick talked about the possibility of a "lockout", although Ferrer thinks it's not that simple due to the different sponsors and interests that the players have.
David said that they also have to think about how this would affect to the low ranked players who really need to play to get money and pay the rent you know...

Here's the article (only if you can read spanish)

Mora things from yesterday

Rafa to Brian Early (supervisor) during his match against Muller (they only played 3 games)

"I can't stop slipping, don't know what you are doing!!"
"It's always the same, you only think about money"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPW4N0NpesA

"They know it's still raining and they call us to play"

My opinion?, i don't have one, i don't have all the info to really take a position about it

Great buy! That was a high quality match too, and quite emotional. I was very nervous watching it live, Pete was bone tired in the 4th and Agassi was pouring it on.

People towelling down the courts is ridiculous.

Yeah, not having a roof is one thing but not having covers is just bizarre. Especially now as the water's caused a crack in the court on ashe :?

There was a guy from USTA on radio 5 live last night saying they're gonna unveil a 'strategic development plan' or something like that to get a roof. I was washing dishes so might've misheard but i think he might have said that armstrong could be knocked down to make a court with a roof, and it'll probably be a few years away...

Great start for Murray, he could really do with getting through this match quickly.

Why are they not playing on Ashe.

Tbh the women should all be taking a back seat on scheduling for the men. They can play 3 rounds in 3 days and finish Sunday no problem.

Why are they risking a night match between Federer and Tsonga when they are behind, surely the sooner they get done the better

Sorry, they are playing on Ashe, the crack in the court is on Armstrong.

Zvonareva lost 6-3 6-3!?!! ...there goes my Serena/Vera final prediction. Looks like it'll be a Serena/Stosur final, can't really see Caro or Petkovic beating Serena.
