Most people who do things, for-serious or for real, will not have rules like "You can do this one tactic, but not too much because that's cheap".

You should all read this:
http://www.sirlin.net/articles/playing- ... art-1.html

The way it works in all competitive game environments that are even remotely legitimate (aka worldwide tournaments, sponsored players, etc).

Let it be known that I in no way want to fight or change the site or insult the admins. The only person that would lose is me. Though I may disagree with the legitimacy of the concept of competition on this site, they are obviously going to great lengths to do what they can to make things fair without breaking their own moral code. I am one of many on this site that greatly appreciate it. To me this is much better than nothing.

FF94_NL is quite a sportsman though.

Funny how they make fun of you for making money at SF but they'd all be su**ing your d**k if you said you made money playing TS4 (which is funny cuz TS4 is a **** broken game)

BTW KDZ do you ever play HD Remix online?? I'm on there almost every night getting killed by Japanese dudes who apparently went to college to learn how to play SF2 or something :lol: Just think it would be fun to play you....I have SF4 but I suck at it, and besides you're probably all about Super SF4 AE, now anyways.

Dude here's the thing. I don't know you or half of the people here and you all have this preconcieved notion of who I and nearly everybody else is on this forum. You know nothing of who I really am and in reality I have just been trolling the s**t out of most of you. Getting emotional reponses from a topic that really should never invoke an emotional response :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

wtf else is there to do here?? So many naive people who love getting worked up about ANYTHING you give them :lol:

I do ACTUALLY believe some of those principles from the SF article apply to ALL competitive games but obviously there are a lot of things that don't exactly have a counterpart in other games. e.g, there is no way to 'Fireball trap' somebody in TS4 nor is there a way to 'tick throw' somebody in TS4 :lol:

I still feel that if some BS 'code of honor' is required in the game that you are playing, you are PLAYING THE WRONG GAME because balanced games don't require artificial 'codes of honor/morality'. TS4 is just very poorly balanced so I guess you guys have to add a bunch of rules.

Lets see...

6-2, 6-3 is 17 games.
Each game is at LEAST 4 points = 68 points.

So assuming EVERY set was a straight murder with 4 straight points, he did one drop shot every other point. That's a lot.

If we assume that every game was at least 5 points, he drop shot 30 out of 85 points, so that's one in three. Not so much.

It goes up assuming the game was contested...

Points per game:
4 = 30 drop shots out of 68 points
5 = 30 drop shots out of 85 points
6 = 30 drop shots out of 102 points

I've seen matches where a player hits more than that.

Also, what if the other player was playing a defensive baseliner and just sat 4 feet behind the baseline the whole match, but got mad when you keep hitting drop shots?

Can't there be a system between how far the player is from the line vs how many drop shots you can hit? If someone won't stop doing A, why must I stop doing B?

IMO more than 8 drops a set is cheesy, 15 a set is definitily cheesy and pathetic, if you cant finish your points with normal shots even though the guy is 8 feet behind the baseline you gotta pratice more.
I normally do 1-2 drops a set when playing my welch guy and 0 when playing my rabari build, cause once you get good at control shots, power shots and learn how to finish at the net the dropshots becomes pretty much useless.

:lol:

Tell 'em .. :roll:

Awwww Sh0case, lets be fair ok, ur an amazing player but u just stand 10 feet behind the baseline with your 91 speed guy, so yeah i droped against you, im not stupid i had u cornered always 10 feet behind the baseline always defending and runing and using the swing expert so yeah i dropped against you but it wasnt like 15 a set.

There was noway of me killing the points cause i had you on the run then you would magically dash to the othe side of the court even tought u had 0 stamina.

Ask anyone else i´ve played if i ever used a lot of dropshots, better yet ask Dapery who handed you ur ass in the US open if i abused drops when we played.

:lol:

What's with people exaggerating what actually happened in my matches?

I don't know why you're trying to justify it, your post prior to our match puts your dropshots into perspective..
Don't explain yourself to me, you're the Rogers cup champion..

TBH, in the first set you did less than 15 but more than 8, however in the second and third set you did at least 15 in each..
If you re-read your posts you'll realise how you contradict yourself.
EG - Imagine the match occurred how you described..

Anyway you're a beast and I hope to learn from you if we ever play again.

:lol: @ referring to my loss to Dapery in that manner, the community spirit>
I'd ask Indiantonike but I'm more interested in why/how you 'retired'?

I retired against Indiantonike cause there was nothing i could do with my build against his and i was garbage back then, but i still dont feel bad doing drops against you, because i didnt do defensive drops, drops on the run or stuff like that, it was always me pressuring you and creating angles but i couldn kill the point cause ur running and giving every ball back in the corner with the reach expert.

I wont apologize, if u want send the video to the hosts, if they consider that what i did was cheesy, suspende me. it happens.( i know you record your matches).

I have played Indiantonike and it was maybe the most frustrating experience I've ever had in TS4.

He's a super good player but with our France-USA lag he was teleporting all over the place and getting to balls that I thought he had nooooo chance of getting to/AND I was not able to use my shot counter skill to it's fullest because of the lag. To be honest I wanted to retire because it felt utterly hopeless but kept fighting and lost 6-2 6-2 I think.

At that time he beated me 6/0 3/0, i walked.

We played a set 3-4 days ago and it was much tighter, but he still beated me 6/4(he can pull some nasty angled shots with 79/74 wings).

We are playing the Salem final so i wanna see how im gonna fare against him this time.
