Wow, Young must've been playing great then, since Wawrinka is one of those players that hardly ever has a brilliant nor a crap day.

Meanwhile Murray upping his level and Haase collapsing.

Mahut quits, lot of people quit lately, i've just checked that, for example, 8 players have retired against Nole this season

Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

Oh Haase, such a great comeback in 5th set from 0-4 to 4-4 only to hand Murray another break :(

Don't tell me Ferrer got a time warning?
After Rafa's match goes un-warned  (though he was staying well within the limit during his easy service holds..)

Wow I know Roddick isn't exactly in his best form right now, but Sock is impressing me in these first couple games. Impressing me a lot more than Ryan Harrison.

as I type this Sock gets 2 break point chances.

edit: OOOOHHHHHH Sock just hit a SWWWWWEEEEEET drop volley!!!!! at 2-1 for Sock, on Roddick's serve

...and of course Sock gets broken.

Still looking pretty good though, looks pretty good at all aspects of the game. It's funny cuz I was just reading about this kid a few weeks ago and, like John McEnroe said in his commentary, watched some of his footage from the Kalamazoo junior championships. Also like McEnroe I noticed that he was literally hitting nothing but forehands  None of the kids could get a single ball to his backhand side.

Agreed 100%. Sock now is more then Andy ever was at this age. I think this is officially best prospect we got.

Yeah I think so too.

I think he hits with a little too much spin on his groundstrokes right now, kind of like Nadal did when he was still wearing the pirate clothes. I think with a little tweaking his FH could be absolutely LETHAL cuz he's already hit some impressive winners off that side. It's just that his 'rally balls' seem to be coming up pretty short. That probably worked in the juniors but you're just gonna get smacked in the pros leaving balls this short.
