Corrupted Save data

So I was playing some topspin, heading into world tour mode, and decided to pull up XMB whilst it was loading (as I wasn't thinking). Next thing I notice, I get an 'error' and find it won't load; my data was corrupted. Due to my laziness, I haven't backed up my save data lately, so its gone.

I find it a bit weird that my actual save data isn't corrupted, just that loaded character?

I was wondering whether there is a quick way to make a new character from scratch, like there was in top spin 3....?

you can only create a new player quickly with the 50,000 xp bonus thingy (it should be there when you go to make new player)

yh, just realised lol, can you use it as many times as you want? or just once? I was enjoying my career mode as well
