Done with ITST... at least till SIM Tour

Postby DarkTunde » Sun, 07 Aug 2011 22:56

I joined ITST in excitement, thinking it would be a great way to get involved in regular TS4 action. Sadly after about a month, that excitement is well and truly dead.

Yes, TS4 has its various flaws, but I'm finding the greater disappointment is the human factor. Just had a Future's match against, yet another IR/CPS opponent. ALL of my ITST event matches have been against IR/CPS users. Massive Yawn... Zzzzz.
Even more annoying, my last opponent used wide serving from the deuce court. I practically had to stand in the tramlines to get a chance at hitting the ball, which left me exposed to a winner in the opposite corner, after my return was hit. Plus, he didn't even seem to understand the cheesiness of what he had done, when I mentioned it to him.

So, to my disappointment, I'm done with ITST matches. I'll finish my remaining matches and then I'm out. I have some of the PS3 guys on my Friend's List, and will get my TS4 action with them. I'll keep visiting the forum, and continue contributing. My hope and desire is to return to ITST matches if/when there is a SIM Tour.

Maybe, I'm just annoyed, and I'll calm down in a few days and change my mind.... and maybe not. We'll see.

Anyway, that's enough noise from me. Adios to the Tour.

Any one on PS3 wanting friendly matches can add me, if you wish.
I used to think I was indecisive... but now I'm not so sure.

Sorry to hear this, hopefully a sim tour will be here soon. I've got a new all-rounder now, so let me know if you ever want a good all-court practice match.

I really understand you. Sometimes I feel like that too. But call me when you want a fair match.

See ya.

When the fair players quit, the cheesy players win. :(

But if the fair players stick around, and report the one's who play dirty, it won't be long before most of the cheesers are gone.

I must admit that in my first match on ITST I to played the tramline service :(
After the match the player told me that it was cheese play and it was not how the game is played on ITST. I went on this forum and joint a discussion on this kind of play. So, after everything is clear, I changed my way of playing and now I'm looking for another set-up. I loose all the games now....lol.....but that is no problem. Just have to get a better set-up and improve my game. So you see, there is still hope for the fare players.

Its not a matter of working harder. If you read my post, you'd see my issue is I find the matches BORING.

Its not about overpowered setups. In Street Fighter IV, I use Gouken & Gen - two of the weakest characters in the game, and I happily fight and lose and try again and again against the best characters in the game. In PES, and FIFA, I happily compete against opponents using the best teams etc.

Yes, I struggle against the power of IR/CPS, but its the fact its used by so many. There are around gold 50 coaches available, yet all my matches have been against the same coach with opponents with identical attributes. Theres no variety... every match an identical battle of ball thumping.

I play TS4 for fun, I joined ITST for competitive fun. There's been little fun for me so far, which is why I'm withdrawing.... for the meantime at least.

Well I guess you gotta wait till sim tour starts, so everybody won't be able to use a 0/5/15 or 0/20/0  lol

yesterday i play... and my opponent play with stops und cheesy returns.... i try to explain him.. i say "this is no fair"... but he cant speak englisch...and after 10 msg he think i have troubles with my connection and ask me for a restart ^^

at 4:6 (his lead) i say i contact an admin...what do my opponent? right he reported a match result 6:4 6:0

at the end nothing will happend... i reported 3 weeks ago one player because he play ONLY with stops... i get the lost on the tournament and this guy was one round further... its a waste of time... this people do all 4 the win... and play so boring... ;/

I can sorta relate to this , in TS3 i was called a risk returner and risk hitter , i did it well , to the lower ranked opponents but altho ive called time on the tour i have entered the canadian open but have been getting into the womens tennis side a bit which surprises even me lol , but i played a " person" today that had like 96 power compared to my 59 power , i served and volleyed , all he had to do was hit the ball hard and i was beaten yet the score still was 63 76 to him , there has to be a restriction on this game because its really being spoiled by these 90+ power players , i didnt like the SIM tour in TS3 but i think it would work VERY well in TS4 cos i actually enjoyed serving and volleying

p.s when i was beaten i got a message saying , " your boring " ?
