Cross courts angled shot

Postby LokiSharpShootr » Mon, 08 Aug 2011 00:46

Ok im kinda new here so im just checking, i have palyed my first final tonight and the guy killed me 6/0 3/0 and i backed out but every single ball he did was a cross court angled shot, every single point he used them over and over again until the ball was in the middle then he or angled again or flat shot in other side. is it okay to do this like over and over again???

No deathly crosses are possible if you use the correct shot, not giving him the possibility to do that.
Just choose better your shots and don't cause situations in which he can hit a strict cross. Don't give him the angles.

Or just hit really deep. It's impossible to get a short angle off a deep, hard ball. I don't care how good you are.

The other guy might still be able to hit a well-placed shot but it's not gonna be an unreachable short angle.

Yes, I remember back in the TI/MD days, hitting deep TS control shots down the middle mixing it up with slices and flats was a great way to counter them.

Hmm im thinking more on the lines like a 15 OFB 5DFB with Baab(Babb?), its not that im a bad volleyeyr, but in here if i dont give and amazing first volley i will almost every time lose the point.
