What do you use for your first volley? That's a big factor in S&V.

I use the power volley mostly but i mix it up, do you think i should be consistent with my choice for the first volley ?,and which one should it be power or standard volley ?

Only use putaway volley (power volley) when the ball is coming up high, or is slow. It depends on how your opponent returns your serve. The safest volley is control volley, as it gives you time to recover, even when your timing is off, and gives you good placement.
I mostly approach the net off the serve expecting to use control volley. It's practically the default volley I go to when I'm not sure what shot my opponent will hit. It's the best for low volleys, and at returning hard powerful shots.
If the ball is hit high off the return, then I use putaway volley.

It all depends on where the returns are going. Power volleys are good if the ball is high and you want to angle it away, but if the ball is too low, you can't get much power or placement. The standard volley works well in most cases. The control volley is good for keep the ball deep on really low volleys and hard passes. And don't forget to throw in a few drop volleys.

You can KILL people with drop volleys if they start trying to hit short low returns, as long as you don't hit them every single point.

I've never used a custom S&V character, so I have no idea what a good setup would be.

Just looking at the stats, I'd say it depends on how good you are about covering up the weaker stroke. If you can deal with the 56 fh, then at least you have the 86 bh to use as a weapon from the baseline

so you think it will work as long as i run around my forehand to hit backhands and use my forehand to finish a point into the open court?.

Hey Rob, do you think that this new update has helped or hurt S and V? Also, I now am a Serve and Volleyer, no more baseline.

Play offline against a very easy CPU.
Smashes are still a pain in the ass, but just keep hitting towards them.
