Nick Z 3232 vs. Hollaa Itz Mike

Postby Cro Morgan » Sat, 19 Mar 2011 22:53

Both excellent players. Both practically unbeatable on the TS4 World Tour. One (Nick) contends that the serve of TS4 is overpowered. Stating:

NickZ3535 wrote:I only have around 80 in serve, but I routinely ace people on every single service point... It's winning me a ton of matches but I agree it needs to be toned down.

With regard to the (possibly) overpowered serve in TS4, Hollaa Itz Mike is singing a different tune:

Hollaa Itz Mike wrote:all u have to do is return it and your in great position to win the point...a guy with a ton on serve is either going to have a lot on power or volley as well, but his speed won't be good and he will be extremly easy to hold serve against

So, who do you think will win this epic battle of epic players :P (when they meet on the TS4 courts)????

Okay guys, you have to play, otherwise this poll was a waste of time.

he is 30-3..i am 42-1...whoever didnt vote for me is not playing the odds!!! ;).....GUARANTEEING a 7-6, 7-6 victory.. haha but in all honesty,, after posting that comment about serve not being over powered, i have ran into several players who have a high serve and am aced a lot,, but when it comes to winning or losing i still dont believe its hard to be someone with a high serve

Come on Guys why do you talk about a overpowered Serve? 90 % of the World Tour are probably just crappy.

You know I got the best Service you can have in the Game and you saw in my Video how good I can serve with it and one of the Guys I played against returned my Service easily after a few Minutes when he was in good Position. I mean I was still able to hit a Ace in a few Points but I wouldn't call it overpowered at all.

It is how it should be I would say. I mean if you create a offensive Baseliner with the best possible Serve you have to get a Benefit in this Point. But you should not forget the weak Points that your Character have then.

The Servicegame should stay exactly like it is. It's the first Top Spin where you really have the Possibility to ace humans and we should appreciate that and not talking about overpowered Aspects if it's good and fair like it is.

But by the Way. I think Nick meaned to hit a Ace in every Servicegame or and not with every Servicepoint?

And if you hit only Aces with a over 80 Serve you should stop playing the Noobs you play and search for some real Competition.

You will see it in your TS4 ITST Career what your Serve is really worth.

I know the Serve can be powerful in this Game but it's by far not a unbeatable Option to hold your Servicegame.

I don't know but I will record many Matches in my TS4 Career and I could tape it easily if I play against one of these Guys.

And that's because I bought a Hauppauge HD PVR.

These guys may be on top now, but I wouldn't start the hero-worship yet or you're really never gonna beat them :)

Devilish, that option comes as part of our human rights - not to take part in the poll

Yeh, me too. Probably could learn something. Really, still can't figure out why/how some guys are so good at this game (and all video games) and some guys are so damn bad. :x

Besides some people just having really good abilities for certain things (like quick decision making, reflexes, and button mashing), once you start getting older your "cup is already full" and your body can't adjust to do the things you want it to :( It's already set in its ways and won't adjust.

Haha are you serious? Top Spin is just a mind Game and not physical based real Sports. If I am healthy I'll do this Stuff in 20 Years like today and then I am 49.

I think he means mental reflexes/decision making and not physically pressing the buttons. For alot of young people like myself, we've been used to gaming and making quick decisions/reacting to anything/hand-to-eye co-ordination for most of our adult life...

However someone who is 46 might only have been gaming for 6-10 years and it's the old saying of "you can't teach an old dog new tricks". Their mind - when it was developing - wasn't really used to this sort of thing so they never truly learned it, like us young-ins :D
