I dont find the tap slice that bad, its the pre press hard power slice that really does me in. I think those are the overpowered ones

Sure...problem with it is as no shots go out. You can hit any slice form any position low short etc...

I use slices but with care and if a lot of the backhand as I play a single hander.

Yeah slicing is effective.

I had some guy abuse slicing against me, lol the irony. This time I tossed my slicing game out the window and went completely offensive. I ended up winning, but it was a very frustrating match.
Lol, I know how you felt anil. I've faced it too. It's hard to beat.

So far I would say slicing, serving, and power are the 3 things that are very effective. Even with how good my counter puncher is at defense, it can be hard to deal with those big serving powerful baseliners that currently occupy world tour.

Slicing is effective in real tennis too , fortunately most people find this game boring and are force to change their game when no one wants to play against this type of game , not because it is unbeatable , but because this type of game is frustrating and boring as hell.

IN RL I have an agressive all around game and I have people ringing my phone off the hook to play , when my friend the slicer is begging me to play with him because no one wants to , even tough I beat him I refuse to spend an afternoon playing against that type of tennis.

SO he did what all the other cheesers do and join a USTA league were people are actually forced to play against that type of BS game , this is why I quit the USTA league , and low and behold tennis is fun again.,

Hasn't the USTA brought out a patch to solve the slice problem then? :?
Over here it has been patched years ago, way more fun to play the league now.

Of course it is. BUT in real the ball CAN go out. But in this game forget about it hahaha. So there is no risk involved. That makes a huge difference.

I mean I wish the slice would be so hard to pull off it would be amazing to have a Santoro kindda guy. I love watching that guy play.

Backhand slice is a natural part of the mens game, forehand slice however is not (only in extremely defensive positions is a forehand slice mostly used). If 2k could adjust that in a patch things would be cool i guess.

I just lost a World Tour match 4-2 -.-
The guy was abusing the slice return and he even did a DROPSHOT return on my serve from the BASELINE
And I found it very strange that he had 4 stats all above 80 and he had serve skills I think :S I could never return is serve well enough do start a rally because it was just too fast! :(
