On cross court slices, if you can get there soon enough, a flat power shot down the line. Get the slicer out of position by hitting control shots cross court every time they go down the line, until the hit a cross court slice. The problem is, especially against someone with slice invasion, you need to have really good positioning and timing to counter this. It's a game and not going to mimic tennis perfectly, but as long as the cheesy tactics are counterable (even if it's boring) I don't think any changes need to be made.
The one thing I do have a big problem with is the heavy outwide slice serves. I know it's in every game, but here you can get taken 6 feet off the court and then your player takes forever to start moving the other direction. Add to that with no risk you often give a soft return straight back to the server (it's almost impossible to hit a good return down the line on this serve) and you have almost 0 chance of winning the point. Any tips for countering this?
I have a counter puncher who has slice invasion. I slice all the time, until I see an opening, cause it's practically impossible to try and rally with everyone else, unless ofcourse they're a defensive baseliner like me.
I've also faced people who slice all the time with my all rounder and karlovic. My all rounder has the skill, shot counter. This nullifers all types of strokes, and uses your opponent's speed against them. It also returns the ball back with great precision and power all just from a single tap. Yes, no need to charge the shot and waste stamina.
Shot counter, fatality, top spin invasion, and a couple other skills I can't remember, can counter slices. You also have to give them different depths of shots, and abuse slices as well

. That's the way i handle them.
Slices can be problematic, lol I abuse them as well, but they can definitely be stopped. The worst thing to face is a defensive baseliner with slice invasion/poison slices lol.
