Already starting to hate this game, cheesing

Postby Yappadappadu » Fri, 18 Mar 2011 18:40

Picked up the game, went online straight ahead chose Simon and played against someone with Djokovic.
Won the first set pretty easily. From then on, he only used slices and I didn't know how the hell to counter that. So my first online match went over 30 min with ridiculous long and boring slice only rallies. Obviously I lost and am pissed that such a boring tactic did work against me who tried using all different kinds of shots. WTF?! Is this the future of cheesing or do I just suck?
Couldn't have started worse for me.

Trust me, it's even worse when the other character has the trait "slice invasion". I played a guy that had this, and sliced every shot for the entire match. Slice invasion makes the opponent's accuracy go down the more they hit the slice, so it's tough to win a point. It's a really retarded/cheesy trait.

what if you come to the net? Slices are pretty slow so shouldn't you be able to kill those guys off with good volleyers?

Yeah tried that, but didn't manage any decent angles with Wawrinka.

Just kicked some *** with Nadal against someone with Agassi to let off some steam. First time that I actually played with him, but damn he's quick. I probably would have won with him against that Djokovic cheeser, since he's so damn fast.

I'm with you Mike...you can counter the slices. I've done it and I'm not even the best tactical player here.

Try to counter slice invasion with topspin invasion... I use Borg and I'm loving this guy's playstyle.

Uh oh. JJdubz with a topspin invasion? Wow, That is going to make you pretty tough to beat. In TS3 your topspin was pretty ferocious. I can't imagine now. geez.

 I looOoOoOove it! One of my last TS3 matches with Fedfan I used the topspin a lot and almost won! But yeah my stat is definitely topspin invasion for now.

I think I know why slicing on every shot is becoming a very common thing. I have noticed many like the usual ts3 cheese trying to return from way inside the baseline and of course doing the sideline serving. However im finding those cheese tactics from ts3 up to this point are not as effective in ts4.

So I think many of them are going to the constant slice and also the constant slice block return straight down the line. These shots can be countered, however what I hate about it is its just plain boring as hell to play these people.

people are just generally sad and desperate. The thing is ts4 looks like it will actually be actively patched so any physics flaws which are major will be dealt with. However it might well be the case where matches are winnable, but boring.

what's wrong with people? what's the reason? don't understand the human being, i think they just buy the game to **** the rest, they're not interested at all in the game
Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.
