Having said that, I started a real tennis career and so far have mixed feelings. I love it and at the same time am scared about how long it will take. last night a match went three sets 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 I won. At the end, I was pretty pumped about how real it all felt. But then realized it took 65 minutes to play one match.

I guess my point is the real tennis mode is great but totally understand people not wanting to do it because it will take FOREVER.

Yeah I mean it's a really good Option to have long lasting Fun offline. If you like ofcourse.

But how do you put a time on something that you enjoy??? :)
I am sooooo pleased they give us the option to make it as real as possible... isn't that the point? Not to be "QUICK" .... but to be "REAL"

I think they did a fantastic job.... you can now FULLY enjoy a GAME of tennis....

I completely agree. I'm ecstatic that they included best of five sets for career mode. It just adds so more enjoyment to the experience.

What is the fastest way to go through career mode and get your player to level 20?

3 sets 3 games, very easy?

Yes I think it's the Top Spin Mode and very easy. But you need a better Difficulty for some Coachchallenges. For example one Gold Coach orders you to reach 20 Points with 15 Rallies each Point. I guess the very easy CPU is to dumb for that.

I hope I translated it good and you understood what I mean. *lol*

Super tiebreak is probably even quicker.

I am playing on normal and it can be a pain to reach the 15 rallies a point. So i guess it is even worse for very easy...

Use the "Normal" setting. It is a lot faster than the "Top Spin" setting.

I don't know why, but I couldn't resist choosing the REAL option. It takes a long time to finish a match but my god how realistic it felt. The AI is definatley much better than ever before (on very hard or hard setting).

It really felt like a real match. I hade a double break in the first set, made a few lazy points and dropped concentration on my serve and BAM both those breaks were gone and I lost the set. And the thing was that it seemed like the AI started playing better and used the situation to it's advantage.

Awesome and interesting. Sounds like the AI is alot better in TS4 compared to TS3 (which is extremely pleasing to hear). What you`re describing is something that happens in real tennis and that would make the career mode exiciting to play through multiple times. The expert difficulty should create a rather good challenge :P

I couldn't of said it any better!!!
You can't get a real match from 3 games in a set!!!! The excitement, the fight back to win your break back, the change in style of play from the AI.

just play normal low slices allways in the middle of the court ,and you can make the 15 ball rally also on very easy difficulty ,in a easy way .
but at all i agree, its better not to play on the easyiest level to earn the coach achievments

someone else wished to see during the match when you got the coach achievments ?
sadly you see it earliest after the match!
had it often that i thought as example i played 20 slice balls ,but at end of the match i saw i had played only 19 slices!!
than i have to play one match more with same coach -this sucks

Agreed...it's pretty cool to have the time to make real adjustments throughout the match. I just got so angry when I lost the first set in my match the other day because I knew I'd have to play a third. :) I think I'm gonna do a supertiebreak career just to get a player to lvl 20 and get ready for this tour, then keep my "real" mode for my actual offline career since it is pretty awesome.

I was playing in a Final's match of my 4th tournament in the career and won the first set 7-5 and lost the second set 1-6 and then came back and won the 3rd set 6-4.

I have to say... it was one of the best matches i have played so far in the game.... the way the AI changes his game play in the second set was amazing....when I say changed i mean he came to net like 3 out of 4 points... it was crazy!!!

I have been seeing some of my friends online and they are in like 2013 June or somewhere around there... and i am still in 2011 June LOL. But i am enjoying it!! :)
