Yep.

In the past TS games I've been as big a risk-shot fan as there is. I'm really happy with the way shots are implemented in TS4 and have no problem with there being no risk shots...so that should kinda tell you something (that OP thinks about this way too much)

However im glad the risks are not in this game. The Serve and return seems more balanced in this game which is nice, also the character moves more fluid so even if your pulled out you can get back to the ball often.

I will say when people serve hard with Roddick I cannot even see the ball it seems so fast. I do think this game is going to reward the counter puncher though.

In the end we all had things that bugged us in TS3 but I think its safe to say it is unfair to call someone a cheeser or cheater for using a shot that was put in the game.

More fluid movement  yeah right! Maybe comparing Xbox versions...
The movement in ts4 is no where near as fluid or organic as in PS3 TS3!!! Plus with the utter ridiculousness of removing dpad compatibility makes this game feel incredibly unnatural to me.

It seems strange they would get rid of it. Up until last week I didn't even know that people used the dpad, but if that many people do maybe we can get them to reinstall it with a patch. It shouldn't be that difficult...

Oohhh trust me, they will come up with SOMETHING to bitch about. If they can't find something about your playing it will be something about the character you use...if they can't do that they'll say that you were laggy

etc etc etc

like everyone else has said, the people who were good at risking in TS3, will be good in TS4

i played norberto tonight as well. It was my first and only match so far against a human on-line. He used Nadal and beat me using Davydenko 6-4. No risk shot but you can see the guy knows timing and position.

his days are counted though.... :)

Is the movement in TS4 finally true analog? I mean, can you move in ANY direction, and not just the 8 directions on a d-pad? If it's truly analog, then the d-pad just wouldn't work, and it you tried to use it, you'd be at a serious disadvantage.

Yeah! Gosh risk returns are so cheesy! Let's ban all people who use them!

They require no anticipation, no timing, nothing at all. We should just go ahead and ban all of them.

Aggasi's slices are unreal in this game so powerful and you barely get tired when using them

targon, you and I played many a match when we were just starting. I hate to break it to you but Djarvik is right. The best players have the best timing period. That's tennis. Riskers are better players than non-riskers. That's just how it is. You can bet that those same top players will rise to the top for ts4. That's the way it is in real tennis and that's the way it is in TS3 and TS4.

i played Noberto tonight too a lost 6:4 . his timing was great especially serve. i love this game without risk but the good players here in ITST will hit just every ball close to the lines bec of good timing. i always hated risk shots in TS3 bec i cant make them :( . but it was not cheesy to hit riskshots it was timing a very much training. so respect for guys like noberto who hits every ball with risk. sometimes boring but only for his opp. :D
