I think once he sees how much better the serve and volleying is, he wont be able to resist the temptation

The main part that has my interest right now is the serving - it seems the stick is the best way, and that's really all I ever did on TS3.

Well, that kind of sucks. The best part about stick serving was that there was actually some difficulty to it - hopefully it's just the demo that's easy.

Yeah i was thinking the same, especially with regard to slice and topspin. Now with federer you can hit all three with a steady fluid up and down motion, before you have to pull down, wait a fraction of a second and flick in a semi circle at the right moment. It might be just me but it seems much simpler this time around.

It was a Question of Timing in TS3 too or not? And so is still in TS4 but I think with easier Timings. Serving feel good in TS4. Love it to Serve with the Stick and so soon the final Version comes out I will step in a lil bit deeper with the Top Spin School. No because I tried to give them Spin with the Stick but it didn't work yet.

No, I hope advanced serving is easy as it is in the demo. For the life of me, I couldn't time the advanced serve in TS3 and if I did time it right the fastest I could hit was 100mph. Thank the TopSpin gods their was double trigger serving.

I got the hang of advanced serving so easily playing the demo, I went to play TS3 trying the advanced serve and it's not the same.
Seems I can't cross that threshold just yet :(

Can someone help me how to stick serve in the demo? I can get decent enough serves just over the 100mph mark but nothing more. Used to served with the trigger buttons in TS3 so this is all new to me...

For the standard hard serve, I flick the right stick down and let go -- this makes the player begin the motion and toss -- once the ball is at its highest point, I push the stick up and the left stick up at the same time. That gives you the hardest serve and a great body serve.

And that's just one of my methods lol. You really have to try different things to find a rhythm.

Is anyone getting much angle yet?

Yeah, all serves had more pace with the stick: slice, topspin, and flat. The spin serves also had more spin, but I always found I could get better angles with the buttons.
