I don't care when the game was made. My statement holds true:

"What I mean is that Top Spin series is basically the only one on console that is close to SIM."

I do miss the controls of SCT 3 though... but right now TS is the only choice, until VT4 comes out. In terms of reality, in SCT and VT, it's almost impossible to make unforced errors, which gives TS the edge in realism in that aspect.

It is kinda clear that TS is the SIM tennis, where SCT and VT are arcade. There is really no confusing the genres here. :? It is two different "ways" of interpreting tennis games. To each - his own. Both are fun in their own right.

SCT could be more along the lines of sim because it's not so easy to pick up and play like VT... and again that career mode in SCT was the most extensive I've seen on a console game.

Thanks!!! It's a realistic simulation of tennis, from the pace of rallies to the details of its world tour setup to the fact that mis timing the ball can send it flying(or using a slice off of certains shots will end in error)....how is it hard not to the that those were "simulation"

Obviously you never played SCT....the button layout, shot type and imprtance of timing the ball alone seperate it from any kind of arcade game.

 yeah about that DJ... :? I'd rather stick with TS4...

OH and in regards to the career mode comparison:

The online career in TS4 is going to be very similar to a realistic tour, in that you can play multiple tournaments every week and build an overall ranking based on your results week by week... so that's something...

GO TS4!!!!
