hmmm I think we had longer ones.
I think BK did "tell it like he feels it", which is fine and much respect for that. Problem is that I (and a few others) simply don't share his feeling.
Norberto's game may have 1-2 less dimensions then some other player's games, but whatever dimensions he does have - he is simply
the best in these. Yes he serves wide a lot, but if you cover that serve - he will go down the line and will punish you with the best T serves around. So you can't really say he always serves wide. Generally he plays percentages game, a game to WIN, within rules.
And since when all-out-risk game doesn't require talent? My belief is that to risk requires more talent then not to risk. I can play both styles, and I know for a fact, playing all out risk is a losing proposition for 99% of ITST players, Norberto being in top 1%.
I personally have no problem playing all-out riskers, most times I can confuse them into enough unforced errors to lose the match. And that includes Norberto, I have a record to prove it. We generally split our matches, him playing all-out and me playing my usual all around game. But "he is all-risk" and therefore "I'm better" even thou I "lose" my matches to him argument - just doesn't hold up BK.
BK is a good player. But WS tour is not what it used to be year ago. I even think that if Anteros, Coolhand, Pica and few other were around - Norberto would not be in top 5. And BK would be around top 8. Well, maybe I am wrong, but that is what I think.
My 2c.
