CHEESY

Postby NeoPerseo » Mon, 24 Jan 2011 22:46

Living in a cheesy world I could not less but play a cheesy game. Cheesy is my slice and cheesy your out wide serves, cheesy is double trigger rests and double trigger groundstrokes play. Cheesy is MS-MSS and WS. Cheesy is to bury a cheesy when you cheesy in every way, hypocritical as well. Do not tell me that I cheesy when I only cheesy one and you ten, even when you think you're not a cheesy man. Because we live in a cheat and cheesy world don't make it tricky anymore. Recognize your traps and I'll do mine. Because I make it cheesy if I like in this cheesy life.

Inspired on my friend Kevin

Quick question! May be a grey area, but does anyone on the tour consider 'moonball' return of serve (lt+b for clarity) to be cheesy....or a tactic to break an opponents serve when all else fails? A legitimate tactic I should say?

Any thoughts/comments welcome : )

I'm not a huge fan and my good pal MATHEJA thinks it's very cheesy. I find it's pretty cool but it's like everything else, it can't be done over and over without being a bit cheesy.
A few players are using this kind of returns very often I noticed.
You must know it's not the hardest return to pull off. It's pretty efficient and pretty easy to use. That's why it became a pretty commun weapon IMO

Personally I don't see anything wrong with it. You can't tell from the angle they show on TV but a lot of pro's returns are essentially moonballs. I don't think it's a big deal....just hit it on the rise and don't try to risk it unless you're really confident with risk. I mean...if you're hitting serves that can be safely moonballed back, that's kinda your fault. Not that I'm some great server or player or anything.

cheers bro - and yeah, i know how to use it and can - point i suppose is that i choose not to because i see it as cheesy - in a game thats very finely balanced, it can make the difference between winning and losing - i simply won't stoop to cheesy play no matter whats at stake, ever, under any circumstances - i did stumble across the technique in a match against a player in a real ITST match - hadn't known about it before - stopped using it once realised i could do it at will - yes, it can be returned easily enough, but it's much harder return and is unrealistic, IMO - jay - i hear you bro, but i don't agree with either point am afraid - with my female char, no-one could describe my serve as easy to return, let alone easy to moonball - and also, i don't reckon that that many serves in the real game are returned as moonballs....though i could be entirely wrong about that.

never worry - just wondering what the communities thoughts on the subject were - ty for input, as always

hell no, that's my main return, end of the story
