Just wanted to publicly congratulate & commend our reigning #1 Alex. He just beat me in Legg Mason SF's 67 64 36. Not only was it one of the longest matches I've played (about 90 minutes), but also one of the funnest. In the end, my best was not better than his best. He all won the big points and deserved the match.

ITST has deteriorated into risk slices, dropshots & 100% risk returns. Basically, a complete and boring way to play. Let's serve outwide 99% of the time, risk slice & dropshot. On serve receive, let's risk every return & either get lucky 4 times and break, or goto tiebreak & steal the set with a risk return winner. Ooooooh, so fun.

It's very refreshing to see our #1 not need any of that garbage to win. He plays cleans, mixes up his serve well and is just enjoyable to play. I wish every ITST match was like this, a true tennis SIMULATION.

Once again, congrats Alex & good luck in the finals.

Honestly brgerflipr......

Look at our TOP 10 players 8)

I think at the end of the day, all the:

...is being left behind. If anything, our tour is getting much cleaner the last few month. Thank god, I can't remember a "bad" match in a while.....and I did lose a fair share lately, but all loses were well deserved with opponent outplaying me.

Maybe I am just lucky!

DJ - you're right. It was probably wrong of me to paint all of ITST w/ one broad stroke and say the tour has "deteriorated". The top 10 are all clean, fair, excellent players. Especially the #8 guy. He's awesome. :-)

I guess it was probably too much of me to ask for EVERY match to be clean. But you are correct, as you move deeper into the draws, you should usually get fun matches from top guys. But I stand by my statement, there are still some out there that could "clean up" their game.

It was a damn good match ,Knew from the first rally of the match which lasted like a whole minute

Your defence is second to none in my books, damn it made me crazy. I tried every different type of shot and you would hit it back all the same.
My players stamina has never been so dead, felt I could barely move him after all those rallies, the longest i've had in my time playing top spin.

God doesn't have much free time, that is the reason because he's "only" the number 8.

Maximo - I'm not a religious man. And I've never really believed in God......until I saw you serve. Now I know that there is one. And that he's left-handed.
