OHHHH MYYYYY GODDDDDDDDDD!!! Let me just catch my breathe.

Illuvbilval and I just played easily one of the most pulsating matches ever, a classic SIM exhibtion. Without going into a detailed match report all I can say that the shots on display were sublime, if you think you have just quite possibly played one of the best shots ever and then it comes back twice as good its just, frankly, amazing...

Final Score 3-6 6-4 7-6 (Baghdad/Cannon vs Illuv/Thompson).

For me, i can say hand on heart, that this guy (Illuv) is the best player I have ever played. Its just a matter of time until he is ITST no.1, at least in one of the tours if not all 3.

Oh dude, please don't quit ITST, err, like ever!

Baggers out....

Well now I am saying it. I also have been saying he is great for a long time but after a careful selection process from a group of about 5 players I can now confirm, with delight, he is the best (apart from me)

Anyways, just had another classic match with Joesixtoe, its very rare for us to play due to the time difference, only usually if I get up early enough and joe is about to go bed.

Final score 6-3 6-7 6-7 Baghdad (Cannon) vs Joesixtoe (Bucci).

Keep then coming lads!!

Had a very nice match with MoralSpain earlier which I won 7-6 6-1. We were both using Mahone and as you could imagine in the first set there was nothing between us. I managed to sneak a few breaks in the 2nd set and after some very long, grueling rallies towards the end I finally managed to wrap it up.

i like when i face someone using the same player, cause it´s easier to see the differences between the 2 "human" players.
Mack returned much better than me, i always was under pressure when i was serving, and we were using Mahone so that means he´s simply more skillful player in that part of the game, another good thing from Mack is that he's able to hit a double risk shot to finish a long play, very important, otherwise our match wouldn't have ever finished  , good job man, i wanted to have fun and that's exactly what i did, thanks.

I had 2 great SIM matches last night.

First match was versus EPOX - he was using Bishop which was nice to see (not seen someone use Bishop since Anteros). We played a very SIM like match, EPOX has the ability to make incredible shots even without risk.

What amazed me was a particular shot he played, I have never seen since before and it has Jim Courier (the legend) written all over it - "Inside out forward". Now in the past depending on where a player sits with the ball you can sort of auto-run round to the forehand and hit one however it much depends on luck of positioning in my opinion.

However EPOX played this new type of shot like some 5-10 times during the match so this was no fluke! He waits in a static position, with a ball coming right into his body looking like he is not even going to hit the ball, then opens up his forehand with some risk and inside out forehand either deep or low  Genius.

I then played an ITST vs Swifty, not played Swifty in months in SIM as he has been away from the tour but he is really looking sharper than ever. Again he used Bishop and boy is he effective, he is like a player born again, quite different in many respects to how he used to play from what I saw out there today - some nice serve and volley too! Final score 6-7 6-3 6-4.

yes, i noticed that too yesterday when i played 1 set against him, but i thought it was a bit of lag or something similar. He made more mistakes hitting that kind of shots than winners but i agree with you, it's great to see someone doing something never seen before

Blah!

I have been running around my BH for 2 years now. I did this against you Xavi as well.

Not an easy shot, but nothing new.

Rob did it first, against Xavi - video is still up. :P

I wrote a little tuto here, if you want to learn the shot:

I know Al, and i remember Rob hitting that shot against me, actually when i played against Epox i didn't pay to much attention to that shot really, because as i said, i thought it was just lag. i thought to myself "what is going on here?, why is he standing there without moving a muscle until the last instant?, is it just lag? or is he doing this on purpose?".

The point here is that i can crush anyone, anytime, anywhere, that simple. ("ITST top player" mode on) hahahaha

Going to have to disagree with you on this one Al, its been a while

I know the shot you are talking about & I have also watched the "you tube" video of Rob ITST and i'm telling you, its not the shot.

In this shot Epox does not have to run around the backhand, he simply stands in position, and like Xavi said, it looks like lag because one second the ball looks like its gone past him a touch and the next he opens up a flat risk inside out forehand.

I can do all the shots, but I can't do that one!
