Davis Cup 2010

This thread is to see if there is interest in a Davis Cup in 2010. We can set it up pretty quickly if there are enough teams. Ask around or make a thread for your country and let me know as soon as possible.

We can have a week to gather the teams and after that start the matches.

As for the way the matches are set up. Im planning on replacing the doubles match with a sim match. So the schedule will be:

Player 2 vs Player 1
Player 1 vs Player 2
SIM match (any of the players may play this match)
Player 1 vs Player 1
Player 2 vs Player 2

Decide on who will be team captain guys. He will decide which players play when. If there is enough interest from USA we could even decide to have a second USA team (same goes for other countries).

In the past we had no sim match so a third player had to be selected for the third match. Now one of the 2 players can play the SIM match. Thats why you only need 2 players this year.

I think Coolhand would make a good captain. I think we need a strong player with solid experience to lead the team. I hope Anteros will want to play, as well!

I was a captain, till this year. I have little time and cannot be the Captain this year. I will however play on the team if the new captain chooses so, but only SIM match.
