There you go again, off on one - we are having a debate, i liked you having your say. Thats what its all about. Other people who can't be bothered with these kind of debates just don't post, so why don't you take a leaf out of there book?

P.s. I am not trying to wind you up jaylove

P.p.s my edit was due to a typo error (not me retracting anything)

Hey Baghdad, you played Darth now, can you describe his style a little bit more?

I´m not gonna give my opinion about the issue being discussed in this thread (Darth Luisito) cause i don't know him and i haven't played against him in my life.
That being said, i don't look favorably upon that "Moan pot", we can not have a thread to complain about other members, where, i suppose, there would be rude comments, insults....
This one is not locked yet because Darth Luisito don't check the forum i guess, and the argument with RAE using bad words has not started yet.
Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

Niten Doraku wrote:Hey Baghdad, you played Darth now, can you describe his style a little bit more?

that would be nice coz i can´t understand what exactly the problem is with the style .
what he had done exactly wrong ??

i know rae as a very fair player -
i can understand that he bring his thoughts to the forum.
mean only that this threads allways happens after a loss makes the whole thread a little bit with a..........smell,a bad smell .

thats why moralspain and other hosts allways say :inform us about such kind of player - also after a win .

that is very important to eliminate cheeser

normally when fedfan have informed the host about darthluisitos cheesy gameplay after his retireing in R1
than i´m sure RAE must not loose again this guy - coz the host inform darth luisito that he got disqualified by cheesy gameplay ,when he is playing forward this style
.

SO INFORM HOST ABOUT CHEESY STYLE -ALSO WHEN YOU WINNING !!!!!!!!

maybe this guy is new by itst and the forum .
maybe he is not informed about what is cheesy -And what is not cheesy .

as a newbie i see only :"" oh itst have only 2 rules . fine !""
ALSO ,as a newbie ,when i see only 2 official itst rules -i also will think that everything else is legal !!
all is allowed .

its a old..old old old problem
its time to make a sticky with official and inofficell(cheesy) rules .
so every newbie can read the rules .

its up to ITST stuff to clarify the TOURRULES !!!!!
to garanty that newbies and player where not often in forum understand all rules !!

in my opinion its time that something happens here !

its up to the management to clarify and to create rules -

so at all, its not darth luisitos fault ........... maybe he simple didn´t knowed it whats wrong

@ Niten Dorkau - In answer to your question Darth played exactly how Rae described. Serve outwide slice every time. Risk flat all the time. I can see how it annoyed him.

@ Moral - no worries about the "whinge pot", it was only an idea.

@ Goa - ok like I said previously managment should take it as an action to send a "PLESAE READ" PM when a newbie first joins then to make clear the rules and regulations and to point about chessy play and list the points. Alot of the time people will join up and go straight to playing a tournament - I played a guy called french connection about 6 months and he used 100 stats, because he didn't know about 90-40! Yes perhaps he should of been a bit more diligent and read trhough the site, but failing that an induction message would be appreciated.[/code]

so darth luisito played 100%outwide serve ?
thats indeed not correct - BUT WE NEED A RULE ABOUT
or a official sticky with forbidden tactics .

as long this not happens -this will not end .

we need that -the NEWBIES need that for their own information
to know "what is allowed ?? and what isn´t allowed ??

when i never been in forum ,than i can´t know that to play a 100%outwide serve is cheesy

like i said earlier -i can´t understand RAE -but at least its not darth luisitos fault.

only when darthluisito knowed that 100%outwide serving is cheesy and he played it forward ,we can punish him for that !!

just my opinion

I just want to say that all the rules are outlined in many places on ITST website, as well as in the tournament sign up page. If a newbie doesn't bother reading these, do you think he will bother reading a PM or an Email?

Chances are he won't.

We want to be "an inviting place", not a place where you sign up and all of a sudden you get a barrage of emails or pms telling you "how to play"

We got to remember, that most newbies that are coming here know nothing about us, for all they care, they just found some "geeky" tennis video game website, and now one of the "geeks" is telling him what to do. A lot of players will turn around and never come back....none of us like being criticized and told how to play and how to do things.

Anil is right, best way to address this is via PM to the player and the host, in as nice a way as possible explaining what exactly bothers you in his game. Contrary what you think, we do listen to all the complaints and do act.

Yes, the player might think you are an "ass", but he will think you and only you are an ass, not the whole ITST. But when the second and the third player points out the same thing to him, he will have to think about it, maybe do a bit of forum reading. You can even send the player a PM with one of the former "cheese" threads. There are excellent thread choices available, for pretty much everything that can ever bother you in TS3

I have a personal experience with this, I have criticized many of my current "favorite players", including Baghdad. We went from near cursing each other to being Good ITST buddies and I only wish to play him more and more now.

Forums are OK for discussing the "cheesy" play. But not with a name attached. If we wouldn't discuss these things, we would still be playing with 4x100 setups, serving from tramlines and returning from the inside the baseline.

@Jaylove - dude, that post of yours was very good, I wish you wouldn't delete it. We all could use the same philosophy.

true !
so you must declare it on the rules page or in the generelle explaining page
"HOW IT WORK TO PLAY TS3 TOUR by ITST "

just add the cheesy tactic rules and no newbie can say ""sorry ,i didn´t now that !!"
this lame excuse (alibi ) don´t count anymore .

Frenchconnection knows about 40 -90 . He is in my top five of world tour scum .

It's hard to think about the perfect style , in the last two or three days i have played matches with Smp where i hardly touched a trigger . In that case we would have 20+ 25 + rallies on most points . Is that realistic ?

So what is the perfect style ?

Limit outwide serves to a minimum ? Mix up serves a maximum
Limit risk returns ?
Limit risks shot to 1 or 2 per point ?
No short risk slices ?

In an ideal world most of us can play this way . My issue here is that the hunger to win takes over this ideal style. It's a vicious circle , most people just want to win and it destroys the game . I am the first one to believe this , i probably only won my tournaments because i played agressive and everyone knows this .
My trouble with Itst is that most people that have condemned this vicious style have used it against me , which at the end of the day is fair enough .
So in some respect , i value Djarvik's and Bahgdad attitudes . They have been bullied off court by high riskers like myself , yet they have remained true to their core style . Kudos for that !

What i am trying to say is Djarvik was right about me , he told me that this style was new to me which it is . I know how to construct points , thats how i played in the first place . I've got the titles... i will now resort to my former play style and stick to it .

cheers

i think we are again at a point where we must clarify : "WHAT IS LEGAL ? and WHAT IS ILLEGAL?

when only inside returning and serving tramline is illegal we have no right to bash people where play inside the rules.
so when 100 %outwide serve, linedancing, permanently rt+lt slice return, dropshot return ecetera is "so called cheesy" and illegal than we must clarify this ,

WE MUST CLARIFY THIS OFFICIAL -""maybe at least as a written unwritten rule of respectfull behavior for unrespectfull player by itst to win in a fair way ."" LOL ""

seriously ,make this 3-4 unwritten rules into written rules and all is much clearer ,easier ,better .
again ,just my opinion

how many threads like this we need more ?

i dont understand that! what is wrong on 100%outwide serve if the player stay in right (after the rules) position?
where is darthluisito stay at the beginning of his serve? in the starting position, in the middle of his field or outside his field?

We could all be on here all day saying this person is cheesy or that person and so on and so on. I've been called cheesy myself, at the end of the day as long as you don't break the rules it is fair game.

It might not be fun but it's fair and that is what is most important, it's not really right to just single out certain individuals imo.

alot of tourplayer consider the permanently slow outwide slice serve as cheesy .
esspecially followed from a double trigger cross slice

exactly this kind of tactics needs to be clarified .
so is this kind of serve legal or not ?.
such special tactics questions needs a concrete answer .

as long this "unwritten underrules " are not clarifyed as"concrete forbiddenrules" -so long this cheesy tactics will be used !!
and this is absolutly correct !
as long it is allowed to use such tactics - alot of player will use it .
its legal .it work .it got a easy point .so why not ?

OH MAN...

To Darth Luisitio: Sorry for my attack on you...in a Forum.
I say for all guys here in this forum SORRY
I want no bad blood!!!

Yesterday i was really frustrated, and today too....

and why? The Gameplay general in the last months here in itst.
Ok perhaps its my problem, but i see many players are unlucky
with the Gamestyle.... Its the most time the same style...

He play the Serve from the middle!!! And he play not ever the outside serve, he play 80%, in my eyes to many, but i think he has no idea
what cheesy is or not...

In plain, i think he play cheesy and he does not know!!! That is Dung...

A MISUNDERSTANDING!!!

i hope we can close this thread....

Ps.: I am not retired, i fight and i fight for real tennis with a new plan...
