How dare you people even doubt about that

Well, interesting closing stages of 1st half at Germany - Serbia. Red card for Klose, 1-0 to Serbia and a huge chance for Germany to level the score... Quality of play isn't too good though...

4 North Korean players have allegedly disappeared from the training grounds. The North Korean officials will give a press conference about it later today.

Just watching USA - Slovenia. Slovenia looks like a very solid team. They only had 4 goals against in their qualifying rounds and eliminated Russia in the playoffs. Perhaps a team that can go surprisingly far.

As im typing this an awesome goal from USA. Its gonna be one hell of a second half.

USA vs Slovenia 2-2 draw....but i think that still means that a whole bunch of luck has to happen for USA to advance...its a pitty...basically england needs to win against both slovenia and algeria and USA wins last match against algeria and we advance...

The goal wasn't ruled out for offside, it was for a foul. Now about 26 fouls were made, he could have given 13 free kicks to Slovenia and 13 penalty kicks to USA... Goal should've stand.

Not the best quality football, but at least entertaining.

Well chederer, USA still has very good chance to proceed to 2nd round. If England wins vs Algeria, which they should, standings are:

Slovenia 4
England 4
USA 2
Algeria 0

USA can beat Algeria, giving them a total of 5 points. England and Slovenia can't both have more than 5 points, but with a draw will have 5 points, after which G.D. is important. England will be at least +1, Slovenia only +1, so beat Algeria by a 2-goal margin and you're through.

What that hell with that "offside".. should be USA 3-2 Slovenia.... but im seeing USA in the next round :)

They have to play Argelia.. while Slovenia plays against England..

And btw great results for all american countries :D.. only Honduras have lost and it was against Chile..

@ GOA

I agree with u.. the first games were really poor... both i think the 2 matches all the "fear" of the teams are gone and the games have improve their quality

Uruguay 3 - 0 SouthAfrica

Argentina 4 - 1 South Korea

France 0 - 2 Mexico

USA 2 - 2 Eslovenia ("stolen goal" for USA)

I hope the next matches keep going up with the quality :D

Given the moment the referee stopped play it can't have been for offside. He didn't look at the linesman, and it was too early for that anyway. Had it been for offside, he would have been later to stop play.
