Finally,

With 66 Forehand, 59 and 60 Reverse speeds should I defend? Striker not do do to defend and even less to attack. My sudden attack, but the service and after? There is not enough speed to set up on the fly.
I try to constantly evolve, vary my game (exple: amortized-on-one, long line, cross ... etc.) to meet other players. But you tell me that I risk 100% of my shots and much that is wrong. Whether you criticize returns 100% risky, there are no problems is not beautiful, it's not tennis. But one gets the impression that you want to be without breaker triggers, or making Lt NEVER miss that without making mistakes. I do not call me or Anteros picachu or Baghdad or Norberto H etc. ... I do a lot more mistakes than you to make an example: Autralian Open R16 (Sim) picachu cons:
Pica shot winners: 23 3 5 SET ON DIRECT FAULT (52 games for 306 points! Admit that this is another class of players! There are few players who can have that ratio and I feel Wondering what kind of ratio to all players!
Another example: you do not ask to have the Federer backhand from Nadal? It is technically impossible.

In summary: Each player is another player, that's the beauty of sport.

I'm not pretty played but all I ask is:
- Respect
- And that my opponent beats me with a stick!
After the game is nice or not, it depends on you and your opponent.

jayl0ve wrote:Competitive video gaming should be about winning...sorry Baghdad but I don't agree with most of what you said; this kind of post is very rough on our image because it makes us look like a bunch of scrubs who can never wrap their head around the concept of 'losing' and get offended when people try to 'steal' a match that's 'rightfully yours'. Come omI know losing sucks but there is no need for this. What is this like the 20th match you've lost in your life here? Get over it man.

I appreciate your opinion Jay, and anyone who chooses to either agree with me or not, or shares similar opinions or not.

However, what you said is a load of old trout. If competitive video gaming is just about winning then I am way off the mark. If I loose in a 5 setter to Djarvik or Puttuu or anyone else you don't see me throughing my toys out of the pram. Nor have I ever posted a complaint about anyone on the forum following a defeat in an ITST match.

A classic example is a football game I used to play - there was a glitch in the game / cheesy tactic where an attacker could stand in the way of the goal keeper when he had the ball in his hand, and right before kicking the ball the attacker was able to get the ball and pop it right in the goal - doing this repetitively is just horrible and bad sportsmanship. That was a video game, competitive, and you tell me I should play like that or just accept that is ok - it ain't ok.

I am not just trying to isolate your comment as it is against my view, I am glad you have your own view on the matter, however you have got to be kidding if you read into this post as me winging about losing  who do you take me for? I couldn't give a monkies if I did loose, if players beat me either with great class or not then fine, but to play (not win) against anyone with that much abuse is just horrid. For me thats as simple as it is - if Zizou, SMP, ITST as a whole say "its not ideal and people play the way they want and its not fun but hey, what can you do" then fine, but on this occassion, chaps, Baghdad says its 100% wrong

:yawn

What's the problem with risk shots? If you'r timing is good enough to consistently risk every single shot throughout the whole match than why should he not use that advantage.

There's no problem with it. It's just not sim. ITST is a 40/90 league. That stuff is awesome there. The sim tour is for people who either want to get away from that stuff, or try playing the game a more "realistic" way. That's all that Baghdad is trying to say, and I think it makes perfect sense.

Since when was risk not realistic?

The only thing that is unrealistic is safe shots because there is no such thing as a completely safe shot in real tennis.

Edit: I hope you'r satisfied now.

Also, what I was trying to say was that, yes there are "the ton of things about this game that are unrealistic", it's just that risk shots are not one of them.

If you're going to attempt a "clever" rebuttal at my post, at least give me the decency of actually reading it first!

Notice my term "realistic" being in quotations as a sarcastic way of saying it's a VIDEO GAME! There are a ton of things about this game that are unrealistic, as with any game.

Also, note the quotations on "clever."
