Moralspain (Thompson) vs Djarvik (Fussman), both with one handed backhand: 7-5, 1-6, 7-6

It was an absolutely wonderful match, we had long rallies during all the match, both went red very quickly but we managed to don´t make too many unforced errors. Al returned my serves very well, not even a single mistake in the whole match, i though everything was over when he crushed me in the 2nd but i kept my serve and i turned it back, sweating blood btw , and you know when you reach the tie-break anything can happens , it´s a lottery, i had not tried a risk return in the match but i hit 2 in the tie-break and both were in, just a lucky guy today, thanks for the match mate
Some of our plays at the net were like the game of cat and mouse, just great

Norberto bts Mack 6-7 7-6 7-6.

I lead 7-6 2-0, had three break point chances at 7-6 5-5 (0-40) and had a match point in the 3rd set tiebreak on my own serve....shoot me now please  Mental Midget Mack is back with a vengeance!!
Props to Norberto for the win.

fantastic match! First set I kept trying to run over my BH to hit FHs, got a few nice ones, felt pretty relaxed and all, but at 5.5 Xavi stepped it up big and got a break. I have tried my best to recover but Xavi would prove to be just too good.

It was back to business in second set. I was so close to bageling Xavi and demorilizing him before third set, but he saved a few BPs at 5.0 and held his serve. That was the turn around, he got his head and timing back just on time.

In third set, we played some of THE best points at the net, creazy 20 shot rallies where we both would come in to net and back up a few times. I honestly didn't know it was possible. lol

As Xavi describes, he took an early 4.0 lead on tie break, I recovered 1 BP, but he was just too good. He went for more on returns and ground strokes.

Congrats man, well played.

tough one man. I knew it will be close one, Lorenz may be small, but in right hands his game is huge.

Norberto, what did you think?

Norberto wasn't pleased coz I wasn't very pleasant after the match due to a little misunderstanding  When I was leading 7-6 2-0, he suddenly started hitting what I thought were lob returns out of desperation which I see as being a cheap tactic, but apparently he was using LT + B, which he explained to me after the match, and not Y(lob button).I apologize to him for my error. I just never came across those kinds of returns before in an itst match so it completely threw me..like the ball was floating for ever in the air and would consistently land right on the baseline. It drove me absolutely nuts. I just never knew you could get such a high floaty ball of lt + b, it really did look like a lob.
Add that to my epic choking and yeah I wasn't a happy camper after the match..certainly wasn't in the mood to be a gracious loser (which I'm usually not anyway)

I'm no TS3 expert or anything, but I've played the game countless times (though nowhere near as much as some of you better players), and I have never been able to hit one of those crazy lt+b moonballs that I've pretty much only seen djarvik hit. I mean, I don't think I've ever hit one...is there something I don't know, is it really just LT+B?

You hold the LT, and at the last second tap B, its very hard to get a return like that back, they are a pain in the ass

It was an outstanding fight, so I was even more disappointed about mack's reaction after the match.

I didn't just tap B or something (BTW, I could never figure out how that tapping works, I always hold the trigger(s) as well as the button already before my opponent serves and just release right before I hit the ball...), everything I did was standing extremely far behind the baseline and play LT+b while pressing the stick forward as long as possible - I tried not to add any other direction though, to make it harder for Mack to generate angles...

I think the reason why they floated in the air that long might be the low power of my char, eventhough I could not see that much of a difference to the same shot executed with my 90-40 guy - it's just that I hardly ever use it with him, as the RT-LT+ A or B shots are way more effective then, but that was not the case yesterday... because of the low power, my usual risk-returns hardly did any damage, as Mack was able to reach them ( and return them) like normal shots, so I went for the slower ones, to gain more time to get in position...
