Fed/Gulbis
Andreev/Ferrer
Nalby/Soderling
Tsonga/Nadal
Then i have Fed/Ferrer and Soderling/Nadal,Nadal to thrash Rodge 6/4 6/2...

Haha! :wee
Fed will be more at ease at Madrid (more speed there) so he takes revenge upon Gulbis (who will have to first face Youshny and A-Rod)...
Andreev will take revenge too against Querrey (if he beat Hanescu) and will have a lot of confidence to defeat The Mutant in 5  Ferrer will beat that Igor and loose to Fed...too tired...
And!Best of the best! : Nalby will take advantage to Verdasco who will be dying just to make 1 step (exhausted!) But after he can't handle Soder's scuds and will let Soder face...his best friend Rafa! :P
You can rely on me for all this! 8)

-Fed in awful form falls to Stan the Man.
-Querrey meets the Mutant and starts great but then remembers he's never taken a set off him and loses again in straights.
-Gulbis, appreciating the faster conditions, makes an even bigger impact than he did in Rome, and looks likely to make it all the way to the final.
-The Energizer Bunny takes care of the Mutant in the quarters but falls to the bombs of Gulbis in the semis.
-Nando "I can beat everyone except Nadal" lives up to that boast by knocking out the Sod.
-An injury free and rested Nadal breezes through to the final where he meets aernests. The Latvian puts up a struggle but Rafa just will not be denied on clay.

In an after match interview, Nadal when questioned about his chances at RG, once again displays that world famous false modesty shtick of his by saying:
"Roger is the best of the heestory, no? He is the defending champion at Roland Garros and for sure he will be very...... peligroso?" *at this point he stops to ask the translator "Puede ser peligroso??" * The translator replies "dangerous". Rafa continues " for sure he will be very dangerous, no?"

Yes, he is just as dangerous as women's defending champion Kuznetsova.

And how far do we have Gulbis advancing in this tourney? :) Me, I have Ernie catching an early flight ... losing to (yet another) Fed-Killer in the first round.

:P I bet on him getting to Fed and losing. (bet against your favorite strategy)

but, first he has to come thru 2 players, and since I picked him to win, chances are he won't.

I would like to point out bitterly that the deadline was sometime before 11am EST, as I tried to make picks at 10.15 AM EST and some people already had 2 points.... :x :x

Yeah man, they always mess with deadlines. The only safe time to pick is right when they open up the picking. :?

So much for the 'clay court specialist' beating Gulbis.
I believe though Montanes might have had some type of injury toward the end of that match?

Anyway,

I want to believe

GO GULBIS!

yea gulbis looked good in his match.

I was suprised to see Querrey go out early considering the form he showed last week on clay. my draw took a hard hit because of that
