Maximo Djarvik is right, you do it unintentionally sometimes and yesterday you have done it against me when i had match point... i was doing it a lot as well when i first joined ITST but now i don't. I only risk slice deep to defend. You should try it too mate

I got to say, I though I was the only one who could do a proper defensive slice 8) but man oh man, Likos can do it soooo well. Caught me by surprised a bunch of times in today's Exbo. Love em man! If anyone wishes to see what a defensive slice looks like, play Likos.

Maximo plays clean. Just played Exo with him as Sixx. An absolute nightmare to play! Great movement and counter punching. Good stuff man. :tu

thanx djarvik, it has been a great match, and is true , likos can hit some fabulous defensive slice ,on the other hand, likos, with regard to this topic I believe that already we spoke it yesterday and it is not the topic if I use or not slice, but I believe that I have recognized several times and to the whole world that yes, that I use slice 90 % of the times that I go to the net, yesterday I was playing with Strike, and as I am not a good S*V, my tactic is a good serve and go to the net as soon as possible, by no means I used r2+l2 slice, but I say the same thing to you that to coke, I accept your opinion.

the high floating defensive slice is another glitch, as there is no way to hit a solid swinging put away volley, like you know like a groundstroke in the air. You can, but its painfully weak and its pretty much a guaranteed winner in real life. Dare i say it, virtua tennis has this particular thing more realistic that TS3.

thanks Djarvik it was a really good match, we had long great rallies that really amused me.

Im not saying that maximo is a cheeser, we were playing great all the time yesterday and in the match point i had to seal the match, he short risked sliced me. How do i know this? His character grunted lol. This was the only time that he pulled that shot and i think he did that in order to save the point.

i hit some a lot of risk slices. 95% of them are deep though, the only short ones will be a mishit, i'll never purposely hit one. the deep risk is good. gives depth, keeps the ball low, and is relatively slow giving chance to get to net :)

honestly, i don´t remember if i used slice in the match point, but i repeat, i use it when i go to the net, if u say that i used it, then i used it, i believe u, i find finish the points in 1-2 shots, and i do it with volley if i need it, i use r1, and if my player grunt doesn´t mean that is a risk, is all i can say, and this is not the topic , there is not judged the style of any player in concretly.

yes there is  you simply need to charge that shot, not tap, and let go at the right time. Amazing Zizou on Xbox does it really well, almost doesn't miss. I have problem using this shot against him for that reason....he will come in and do a swing volley. Experiment man, it's there.

lol maximo i know when you are risking(R2 or R2+L2) cause we play a lot together. You set your char to grunt only in power shots. You hit a short risk slice man. Don't try to justify it.

Anyway i don't want to have problems with you so this is the last post from me about this matter

no problem mate, i have said that u can say all that u want, and i am not justifying, i never use R2 alone and i use r2 + l2 with x button, u can believe or not,and my player doesn´t grunt when i hit a risk slice (i´m testing it now) and of course u can write your opinion, do u think that i used risk slice?, ok, perfect.

u probably don't know this but you can't hear the grunt when you hit a short risk slice, only your opponent can. It sounds silly i know but its true

I never knew this. I have my player set to grunt on power shots too, and he never grunts when I hit L2+R2 slice! So I guess he doesn't grunt on my screen but grunts on my opponent's?

Vieira seems to grunt when he slices too, I've never known how he does it :D Vieira, do you hear the grunt on your screen when you hit risk slice bud?
