Ps3 downloadable free games?

Postby Yippie-Caiay » Tue, 16 Feb 2010 15:38

I have a friend which returned yesterday from orlando, where he bought the new ps3 slim 250 gb...the thing is he didn't buy any game because he was told he could download games from the internet, probably torrent, and transfer them directly to the ps3...(because supposedly the ps3 had been "chipped" or hacked, not that you could do it with any console)...

so, is this real? i read that the ps3 had been hacked a couple of weeks ago.

but i also read that nothing could be done yet with this...

anyone??? :? :? :?

You think the torrents aren't really free (as in free from hacks)?

Oh. I am sorry. I thought the question was more about hacking, is it true and all. :P I thought that was illegal (torrents).

Speaking of illegal downloads, some isp's are starting to help crack down on them.

My parents recently got blocked from the internet - when they tried to open their home page, it loaded a page saying they had to contact their isp. They called, and were told it had something to do with a pirated copy of Resident Evil 3 ( :?). It turns out that their wireless network was not secure, and one of the neighbor kids was using their network to download games after he had gotten his parents blocked. They got it all straightened out, and I secured their network, but I was surprised that their isp even bothered with it.

BTW: Sorry Yippie, but I edited your post. No posts helping people with hacks.

Not sure what you asking here, but if you need something hacked don't contact me. 8)

ISP really not supposed to do that. I even think it is illegal for them to terminate or put on hold your service because they suspect you are hacking. Usually that would happened on DSL. Cable is better.
