Yea. You are right. Many people are saying that it is great for the rebuilding work; but, right now, they need people to dig in the rumble to get the thousands out.

Time is surely running out!! :(

The Red Cross has done this to me in the past, maybe they've changed.

Back in 2004, I donated $300 to a homeless shelter. For the next 3+ years I received pleas for more money. They were sending me letters on a monthly basis. Ironically, their efforts had the opposite effect as I now hate homeless people.

Thanks for the information Cro. Also, sadly, Haiti and the United Nations called off the search and rescue team.

Looks like the Red Cross isn't as pure as everyone thinks either, they misplaced $175 MILLION

Your local Red Cross is always a safe place.

Rob. I heard that the Red Cross is even being questioned from donors.

Also, I am hearing that Haiti does not need much monetary help right now. They need volunteers to go down there and physically get people out of the rumble.

Yep. Ditto. There will be greater times where people will use tragic events to make money. Very sad but not surprising.

I am glad you guys got a kick out of it! :D  On a more serious note, I was just not surprise, especially after hearing it on 1010 WINS. Shame on the Red Cross.

I guess if the big corporations can get away with murder, they can too? :?
