Funny enough, I was talking about you yesterday

I suppose it's none of my business, but...why? As long as you don't hate me, I don't care I guess.

petrelli83 wrote::tu great job!

lowering power to 75 it's a good idea...u respected the idea to create "strong server player" but now they respect "sim soul" too...u can rally against him
bashma seems Karlovic...great serve,good volley...also S&V could appreciate him :!:

why did u low again Bishop power :?:

Giving Bash the extra speed was a tough decision, but it really didn't actually seem to make him faster. Just one more weird thing about TS3. :?

We lowered Bishop's power just slightly (3 points) because with his high groundstrokes we felt he was just a bit too good (after the changes were made to Cannon and Bash).

Cannon is so much funner to play against now. I played a one set exhibition against Peterelli who used Cannon, he beat me 7-6 , but I felt like I was in the service games without having to risk return. And I felt like I held my own quite well even while I was using the low serve of Bucci. Thanks to all of you who made these changes, you've done a great job. :tu

Does 3 points make a difference, I guess 58 is on a different level, so it might be.
Now everyone is gonna jump on the Bishop bandwagon. Woohoo!

I know the decisions are final now, and I respect that.

Curiosity though, did you have many complaints about Bishop being too good?

Yes, we did. Not as much as Cannon and Bash obviously, hence the very small change.

Just received the PM of ITST...very nice change! :D

Power at a maximum of 75, that s realistic Tennis. Power above 80 is more like table tennis.

Yes, please explain the changes, would love to hear this.

SoundfSilencee, here it goes:

First, we have come to a conclusion that high yellow and above power simply doesn't work in SIM. The reasoning behind it is that in TS3 there is no outs if you don't risk, meaning "safe" shots don't go out. Trouble is that with high power stat, these shots are no longer "safe", they are actually attacking shots. As we all know, in a game of tennis, when you attack - you risk, risk implies the possibility of missing the shots...by either placing the ball close to the line, or adding more power....that results in a shot that is more effective but at the same time can go out or into the net easily if timed wrong. So the decision was made to keep power to mid Yellows throughout the whole roster.

Serve was also a bit of an issue. Particularly high serve stat combined with high power stat. It simply limited the game too much. So that played a role in our decision as well.

Cannon - we lowered his power to fit the philosophy above. To compensate we have increased his serve, for more precision, stamina and his weak side. Largely he remained the same player.

For Bashmakov we had to do some real work, but I think we did good. The added speed helps him move thru the court get to balls earlier and still generate enough power, penetration and angles to remain competitive. He still has the 90 serve, so holding serve is still relatevly easy with him....but now he is venerable when not on control of the points (same goes for Cannon).

After all the adjustments we had to look over the roster again. We have found that all players matched up between each other really well, but Bishop. He seemed to be consistently stronger then other players. In order to preserve his original setup and not touch his weapons (like return and strokes) we decided to lower his power just a bit. When we say stronger, we don't mean more powerful....we mean the setup just works better then others. High strokes are a dream for any risker and people who risk less find him easy to play as well, which is great - because when facing Bishop you can get either one of 3 - a all out LT (L2) risker, a LT+RT risker or a steady non risker that gets to lots of balls and makes you play each point.

I hope this explains a little bit our philosophy behind the whole SIM tour, not just these changes - but all of the roster and changes we made before we got our final "product".
